My friends doctor refuses to see her anymore but will not give her her medicle papers to see a new doctor. Does he have a right to do that?

Please. My friend has been in and out of hospitals for a year now because of a very bad pain in her stomach. Her doctor since she was a baby is now refuseing to even see her anymore but will not give them the papaers of her medicle history or anything. Does her parents have a right to sue the doctor?

Most places require a medical release form be filled out before records can be released. They don't usually just hand them over.

You can't sue. FYI it's not that easy to sue...

But you can get your new doctor to request them from the old Doctor.

Furthermore, that doctor's behavior is likely criminal (in the US).

He just rufused to see her anymore. Straight up like that, thisbisbher primary doctor. And i know doctors have a right to refuse paitients but he also refuses to give them her papers for her medicle history and etc.
