What's the worst injury you've ever had?

Just bored and curious, haha. Last October some friends and I went to an outdoor concert in Nashville. They started crowd surfing people, and they were crowd surfing this girl and when she got over to our area I guess we weren't strong enough so she fell. I put my hand under her to try and catch her... and my thumb got bent backwards. I went to the hospital the next day and it turned out to be a sprain, not broken, but my thumb's never quite been the same XD

I had two:

One was slipping and falling on a dock spike out along the waterfront when I was on holidays. I lucked-out, just a few stitches, over an eighth of an inch and it would have gone through my heart and out the other side side of me. The first slot in between by rib cage in the solo plex area saved me. Knocked the wind out of me, thought I had punctured a lung.

The second was trying to retrieve some expensive equipment out in a boat. I was walking up towards the bow of the boat to get the equipment and bring it back with me, when we hit a 4- 5 ft wave wave. The boat slammed into the next wave seconds after breaching the crest on the one that rolled under the boat. Anyway, I flew about 6-8 ft headlong into the steel boat's bow. I woke up 10-15 seconds later to another person shaking me. We both went to the rear of the boat. I was holding my head. When I took my hand away blood gushed out my noggin and drenched my left eye and kept flowing. I took my shirt off and stopped the bleeding by the time we got to the island. Got out my mirror in my compass and I had a 2.5 -3 inch gash on my forehead.

I was 8 hours to an emerg, so I did what anyone would do, got out the needle and thread in my bag and sewed it shut while my friend held the mirror for me. When I finished I threw some steristrips on afterwards. I worked the rest of the day catching rattlesnakes and pit tagging them. Worst headache I ever had for a good two days afterwards.

in 2006 i had an accident and fractured just about every bone in my lower body (L/F tibia, L/R knees, and L/R femurs)

I broke my arm when I was 6. But if we're talking adult injuries, I think I've been pretty lucky for the most part. There was one time I fell off a horse (landed flat on my stomach) and I was sore for weeks... it hurt to breathe, laugh, move, etc. I never went to the doctor though, so I don't know what I did lol.

And then, a few weeks ago, I picked up running as a hobby and promptly destroyed both my knees haha. Combination of bad running form, lack of stretching, and cheap tennis shoes. I could barely walk for two weeks. But I'm back at it now! I was honestly terrified I'd done permanent damage.

Splintered ankle bone probably. Not so much because of the pain and the massive amount of time and risk of reconstructing it but because I had to give up figure skating because of that.

Probably 20 stitches In my head from cracking it open. I didn't cry though.. Odd. Maybe I was in such shock that I never cried?
I've had over 50 stitches from various sports injuries. I also have really bad joints that pop in and out on their own from sports...

Always any damage to a bollock. Had a couple of kicks in football matches and the sickly feeling a guy gets from it is worse than any pain from anything else.

About 4 years ago I was running speed drills and felt something give in my right calf. Still. bothers me to this day. Certainly one of the worst, perhaps not THE worst but one of them.

One of my toes getting bruised, which happened when I was 17. Till this day, it's still slightly fatter than the other toes.

I chipped part of my lower spine 12 years ago and still feel pain today and can't move/stand in a certain position.

i think it was, i was trying to jump form a van while the driver was driving and i got stuck between 2 vans and the tire was about to get on my stomach but the driver stopped
