Is it a Charley Horse? I get those all the time in my thighs and calves skating the vert ramp. If so it's like your muscles are locked up with a very sharp pain. I've kinda gotten used to the pain and don't mind it anymore.
You can stretch and eat bananas and stay hydrated and so forth to supposed reduce that, but I find at a high enough intensity of activity that I'll just get them anyway from time to time (maybe several times a week or so). For me it usually lasts like 15 minutes to an hour then I can go back at it.
Calves strain.

Light jogging really shouldn't cause a calve strain unless you were doing some sudden movement or tripping or something or you were going too hard too fast which shin splint probably would have warned your before hand.
Take a week off from intense leg exercises.
Rest for the first few days , resume moderate walking afterwards , pick yourself up and slowly get back into the game. Don't go too hard, there are already microscopic tears.
Are you running on hard Concrete? Try stretching dynamic beforehand, so stand on the edge of a stair or something and bend down your heels slowly, keep moving all the time and don't pause to stretch statistic. Do that after running, also eat Banana or oats a good hour before running, gives your body magnesium
Seems like a cramp, just stretch before and after and take days to do a different work out than running to give your legs a rest until you're used to it.
I don't get cramps, but I have shin splints that is a pain in the front and side of the shin.

Eat bananas or drink pedialyte before you run. Make sure to stretch your legs properly.

Sounds like a cramp. Wait till it passed and work out more and you should get less of them eventually, though if you're likely to get cramps per se you'll probably always have a slight problem with it.
-Either you are unfit and did too much
OR
-You didn't warm up properly
OR
-stopped suddenly after running too much
OR
-Another reason which i am not familiar with, but i hope this helped👌🏼
How long did you run? If you start running after stopping for a long time or never did it, you slowly have to build it up or you get injuries.
I think I have - most of the time it coincides with me not warming up before the run.
All the time, get compression socks, it helps a lot
Never. Maybe they are just new to this shit. They will get used to the running in a while.
yup i mean if your talking about muscle soreness then yeah a lot of times.
No. I usually get pain in my knees, but it only happens 1/10 times I run.
It's called cramps. Yeah I got them a lot before.. You need to stretch first before running
Never, personally
But I think it's pretty common if you're unfit
