Has anyone tried the keto diet?

Interested in doing it and wanted to hear from other people who have tried it.

I have tried keto, and actually am on it right now. I had tried a lot of different stuff like this but keto has been the best thing in the world, I feel better physically mentally and emotionally. I sleep better, have dropped weight easily, gives me a lot of energy. And I recommend that if you do keto shakes, that if you are sensitive to caffeine, to take the decaf one. Or work out right after you take the caffianted one. Eating cheese, which involves fat. But avoiding carbs and fruit is the best way to lose a fast amount of weight. Thanks for the info!! I have a couple of more questions if that's okay:

-How long have you been doing it for and what were the results?

-I know you have to be super strict with carb count but are you strict with counting calories also?

-If you were to eat too many carbs one day would this affect the ketosis drastically to the point of reversing the effect?

-Do you have any recommended meal plans that you follow?

Sorry for the swarm of questions, I just really want to look into everything before starting the process. Thanks again :)

I have been off and on it, because just me personally I am bad at being strict, but when I am strict, I was for over 3 months and the results were amazing, better sleep and more energy. I also lost over 30 pounds.

I'm not very strict with counting calories, but I personally like to keep track. But also your intake of calories is very low just because of how you are already eating with the keto.. If you would like to keep track of calories and log your food, I recommend an app called "MyFitnessPal" I personally love it.

Yes, eating to many carbs can reverse the ketosis in your body, but if you immediately take the shake the next day, it will slowly put your body very easily back into it. As long as you don't continue eating to many carbs each day.

I wouldn't recommend any meal plans, only because I don't have any. I stick to protein ( chicken, meat, fish) cheese, MCT oil, black coffee, tea, salad, keep track of certain dressings, cause of the intake of carbs
