Dentist said I have 6 cavities?

I went to a nice upscale dentist, and had a complete exam done. They said I needed 6 cavities filled and two root canals, Then I check with TWO other dentist that wasn't as nice looking inside.. One said there is cavities but no root canals needed, and the other said there is no cavities or root canals needed.. so like wtf who am I supposed to believe?

Ah the joys of dentistry. This is the same kinda crap i always go through with dentists!! Just gotta go with your gut, you know how your teeth feel. Does it feel like you have cavities and/or need root canals?

Oh I know there's cavities, It's just the upscale dentist only accepts very few insurance companies and mines not one of them... and I just paid them 4000$ for another procedure I had to have.. So I'd like to save some money somewhere...

Very tough. Every dentist has their own opinion. Some are conservative with their diagnosing other very aggressive. Check their reviews and see what other patients say about them.

The upscale one has to pay for his overhead somehow.
I've been there before. I call them on their BS. Make sure you get a copy of your Xrays. Their yours, not his/hers YOU paid for them.
