Not really just causally walking doesn't do much for your body from a cardio standpoint not unless your fast walking almost running/jogging or power walking.

The only time walking really provides good exercises is when your on a really high incline on a treadmill walking at a fast pace or when your hiking on a rock trail upwards. Otherwise it won't do much for you.

I would only recommend walking if you have like problems with your legs like arthritis or something or if you were older like a senior. Otherwise for your age, speed/power walking, jogging, running, cycling would all be better options for you.

At your age, provided you are in reasonable shape, I think running briskly (or even sprinting) will work much better. You'll burn calories much more rapidly, build more muscle, and also get that runner's high if you're doing it to release endorphins. Apparently the best for that precise purpose is to run at a fairly fast pace, pushing yourself but not to maximum sprint so that you don't exhaust your body too much too quickly.
