Is lasik eye surgery worth it?

I have had glasses since I was in 4th grade and the list of inconveniences is endless. I want lasik when I am 21 which is not far from now. I have been researching it and am wondering if it's worth it. Because I know it's painless but this looks terrifying.

I had it done and it was painless. I wish I'd had it done earlier. The procedure is done with a computer controlled laser. You'll be given a tranquilizer about 20 minutes before the surgery and you won't have a care in the world. They gave me a prescription for pain meds for after the procedure, but I didn't even take them. (I just took the one they gave me at the eye clinic.) It will take about a week for your vision to stabilize (and they'll be checking it on a regular basis for a while), but it's totally worth it.

But... glasses are cute...
My mom had LASIK surgery done 3 times. Apparently it needs to be done everytime she gives birth. She'd have it done a 4th time but she lost the paperwork for the lifetime guarantee. She says it really made a difference and was worth the money.

Only your ophthalmologist can tell you because it depends on the state of your eye and the reason of eye deficiency. And you can always ask to be put asleep if you don't like local sedation.

My cousin , Amanda had it done and what she told me
is that they do one eye at time and you lose vision for minute
than it gets blurry and you lose vision cause they are making
your eye 20/20 vision but I would consult a eye specialist when
you want to invest in getting it done but get a good eye check up
as long your eyes are healthy most opticians would approve it.

the way she is , My first girlfriend wore glasses I still loved her at one time.
