It's a persistent dull pain, stabbing feeling if I twist or flex the area, and stabbing feeling if touched.
How long can I ignore a hernia?

Trending & News I had mine for about a year before I got it operated on. I wouldn't recommend waiting though especially if you're in pain, didn't really have any with mine. I know if they strangulate they can be dangerous. The biggest nuisance for me was recovering from the op, struggling to move for two weeks and no lifting for six! Not to mention the bruising in a sensitive area.
Get it checked out, it may well not even be a hernia.
I've had a hernia for 5 years. Hasn't really caused trouble besides making me look slightly bloated.
Not very long. Hernias can become serious. You should seek an Urgent care within the next few days and take it easy.
No don't ignore it, seek medical attention right away
