I'd say no. An addiction focuses on only one thing, whilst wanting to have an addiction is rather a process of choosing out of a few ones.

Drugs are a horrible addiction, but so is gambling, sex, eating... there are many addictions out there, and again, it is not something to wish for... they are bad, not good to have in any way shape or form...
