What Sunscreen Do You Like to Use?

Since I spend a fair amount of time out in the sun, I feel the need to protect my skin with sunscreens. What sunscreen brands do YOU like and why? One brand I like is Hawaiian Tropic as it goes well on the skin. The scent is that of tropical fruits. The downside for ME is it makes me crave all things coconut, so I go wild with Pina Coladas and coconut creme pies. LOL... The drugstore chain Walgreens has some good ones under their name. There is an SPF 30 that is under $5 that smells just like Coppertone. I'd say my favorite is the "Ocean Potion" brand. There is one in a jar that is made for the face that includes zinc oxide. There is one for the body in an orange bottle that has a nice scent. Ocean Potion seems to be sensibly priced.

I have found that my favorite since I originally posted this, is CeraVe Ultra-Light Moisturizing Lotion. It is pricey and you'd probably just limit this to your face, and use something less pricey on your other exposed skin. It goes on smoothly and doesn't leave an oily film.

For face i always use zinc sticks, Vertra or Headhunter. For the body just about anything will do.

Do those sticks go on smoothly? Looks like there are more tinted sunscreens now compared to a few years ago.

Yes both go on smoothly. You can get either tinted or clear/white in both brands.

I don't use any besides my bb cream's sun protecting components. I didn't think I had to since I'm black but I think I should start.

It's like a foundation, it's makeup but the spf is built in.

anything above 60. otherwise i need to reapply it every 15 minutes. with 60 it lasts an hour.

One that I use on my face is Neutrogena Ultra Sheer Liquid SPF 70. It goes on smooth and doesn't leave much of a film. A bit pricey to put on your body, as it comes in a small container.

I like the hawaiian tropical island sport; it smells good and it's non-greasy and I apply it to my face and body.
