+1 yIt isn't bad that it's possible, but it is bad that you do it. You shouldn't be doing that to your body, as literally everything requires energy gained through food. Even breathing and your heart beating requires energy. You really should stop doing that before a bad habit forms because of it.
If you aren't doing it intentionally and you just forget to eat, try to set alarms through out the day and make yourself small meals in baggies in the refrigerator each night for the next day so you don't have to work to eat and forget to do it.
If you aren't doing it intentionally but you honestly can't make yourself eat or you just feel sick if you think about eating, you should probably see a doctor and discuss your symptoms. It could be an underlying eating disorder, and it could get very bad for you if it isn't worked out early.00 Reply

+1 yYes because your body will go into starvation mode and the next time you eat it will cling on to it and store it as fat and the weight that you lost will double when you eat again.

not to mention your body needs you to fuel it will nutritious foods so it can function properly, so many things can happen like your stomach, bowels etc.
+1 yFasting is normal in some cultures, when done correctly it won't have a negative effect on your body. Your body requires nourishment or else it'll will simply begin eating itself in a sense. If you're interested in fitness, try eating healthier, with weight loss and muscle gain, a balanced diet and exercise are the only solution. If you are simply not interested in eating try to speak to a doctor, there may be an different reason for your lack of interest. in eating. Point is going long periods without proper nourishment will have a negative effect on your overall well being, There is a reason our stomach growls when we are supposed to eat, that's our body's way of letting us know that it needs nutrition, the brain is the one that is telling us that we aren't hungry.

No, I actually think it's good for you. I have trouble doing it, but when I do it, I feel it cleans me out. Like, if I stop eating, sometime around the third day, my stomach aches and I feel like I have diarrhea. I end up having a sort of slimy bowel movement that I feel is stuff that wouldn't have come out otherwise. At that point, I start eating again.
I hope that all my future prospective dates can read this post as I'm sure it'll make me much more attractive.01 Reply- +1 y
Its actually really shitty for you if people want to go on a sort of cleanse its better to do the juicing cleanse but you will have awful shits no matter what lol.

+1 yI wanna get one thing through your head. Its terrible. Fasting one day a week is fine, it actually bas some proven health benefits. Not eating for days is bad. You need to eat. I see you wanna loose weight. Starving yourself won't do it. 80% of weight loss is diet. Starving for daya oj end will hurt weight loss and encourge weight gain. Starvation mode will kick in after a few days and anything you eat your body will hold onto.
00 Reply Is it bad you "can"? No, it's called fasting and if humans couldn't fast we would have never survived. Fasting that long just isn't great for your health. So you shouldn't fast that long unless it is one week a year.

Asker+1 yNo I'll just go long periods without eating really anything... it's like if I try to eat I feel like I'm full and I'm just forcing myself to eat
Asker+1 yI'm 5"6-5"7 and I weigh 145... I'm trying to get down around 120

Firstly, for your height you are not heavy by any great degree. So do not feel the need to lose weight fast.
Secondly, follow these tips and you will see fat loss results very, very quickly.
1. Drink only water.
2. Cut out all sugar (even fruit) and starchy carbs. So no bread, potatoes, beans, rice, pasta or fruits.
Instead eat meat and a ton of vegetables. Greens, broccoli. All that good stuff.
3. Walk every day for 30 min to an hour. Just casual walk. Listen to music as you go.
4. Workout 2 to 3 times a week. Just a simple workout that you're strong enough to do. You can find many on youtube.
Do those things and you will meet that goal of 120 without starving yourself and relatively quickly. Don't get caught up with worrying about meal prep or timing your meals.
Asker+1 yAlright thanks
+1 yI do not recommend going continuously without eating. It's not healthy. Your body will start breaking down muscle and bone to get the nutrients it needs.

+1 yIt's not bad to go ONE day without eating. Actually heard it's healthy. However, a week is too long. If you don't eat, you'll lose your ass, which is bad.

Asker+1 yDon't have abs all I have is fat...
Asker+1 yAn Ass*

Then you need to do squats, and then you will grown an ass, and then you'll get tons of dudes who are all about you! If you wanna be a cutie, you gotta have that booty.
Asker+1 yHaha great advice! But I need to loose weight so the booty will stick out.
- +1 y
Haha! You can do it. Change your diet, maybe get a gym membership. I love the gym. I go with my headphones on and listen to podcast. If you ever need diet/workout advice, I'm pretty informed. I've been reading and studying bodybuilding for about two years. I'm just an average sized guy. Don't wanna do steroids
Asker+1 yYeah thanks!!
+1 yIt's really bad! and I've done it not because I was trying to lose weight because I know better but because I didn't get hungry and I was sad. @akadatank44 always gives me 💩 about it. Don't do it!

That's pretty bad, there's a reason why there's recommended calorie intake daily. You can form an eating disorder because of that.

Asker+1 yYeah I've never eaten the full calorie intake really. I don't think I even eat half... today all I had was one chimichanga...
Asker+1 yYesterday some crackers.
- +1 y
Yaaaa... I'd work on that. Eating disorders are really dangerous and not very fun at all. It's possible to get anorexia or some other kind if you don't at least eat the important meals of the day, even lunch and dinner is fine. You should consult with a doctor or even a therapist on why you aren't eating very much.
Asker+1 yWell it's not like I'm very skinny either.
Asker+1 ySo it wouldn't hurt to loose a few pounds and if skipping a few meals is what I have to sacrifice then so be it. Now I'm just so used to it my stomach doesn't even make noise at the smell of food.
Asker+1 yThat's alright. 115 wouldn't be too bad then I'll just have to eat like more crackers or something to try to maintain it...
- +1 y
Ehhh maybe, still don't really think crackers is a healthy diet considering crackers maintains mostly salt. No protein or nutrients. I'd seriously consider having more than just crackers, you'd have to eat A LOT to maintain weight, I guarantee your metabolism goes through more than that.
Asker+1 yNot really I just keep gaining weight!! No matter what I eat I always feel like I've gained 20 pounds like after I ate that chimichanga. I regret that so much...
- +1 y
You feel like that correct but in reality you haven't unless your metabolism is the slowest metabolism in the world. I feel like I've gained 20 pounds after a meal but in reality I've gained maybe 1-2, which goes away in 30 mins. I think you're just psychologically starving yourself of food because you think you'll gain a lot of weight from a meal. But a metabolism stops you from getting really fat. If you're really afraid of gaining weight than drink a lot of lemon water which helps your metabolism run more efficiently.
Asker+1 yYeah I actually drink that to replace meals or when I think I'm hungry I'll just drink that all day instead of eating it really fills me up
- +1 y
Well i'd consider what anorexia is first.
Anorexia Nervosa
Inadequate food intake leading to a weight that is clearly too low.
Intense fear of weight gain, obsession with weight and persistent behavior to prevent weight gain.
Self-esteem overly related to body image.
Inability to appreciate the severity of the situation.
Binge-Eating/Purging Type involves binge eating and/or purging behaviors during the last three months.
Restricting Type does not involve binge eating or purging.
If this applies to you then you better becareful.
Asker+1 yWell i guess I did feel bad about eating one burrito and I'm always on the scale... but I fear that if I dint loose weight then I'll ever be able to get u dressed in front of a guy tho. I worry that once I'm undressed they be like thought she was skinnier.
Asker+1 yCause a guys been hitting on me... and what if we want to do something I can't cause I fear rejection cause of my weight
Asker+1 yWell every girl wants to be accepted even if they know he's not the right guy. But we think he is now. Even when the guy ignore them in front of his friends I'll always immediately reply to his message...
but I'm 5"7 and 135Ibs I want to loose a lot of weight and get to 115-120. Which isn't far- +1 y
It isn't far but there are more natural ways to lose weight. Doing cardio loses weight, having small meals every day helps you lose weight. Starving yourself is not good. I'd seriously advise you not to do that or your obsession with weight will NOT go away. Even when you get to 115 I guarantee it will not go away, you'll still think you have a poor image, you'll still think you're fat. I think you have a poor self image and an obsession with weight. You need to stop before it becomes irreversible.
Asker+1 yYeah. But if I work out I just seek to get bigger cause I'm gaining muscle weight too.. but thanks!
It is not only bad, it is completely unhealthy. You will start burning muscle and get weak.
00 ReplyYou say you're not hungry, but then say you're trying to lose weight?
