That is not at all what they said.
They just wish to broaden the definitions of infertility to allow for more people to become eligible for assisted reproduction procedures.
It sounds stupid because it was written by Daily Express (quoting no sources whatsoever by the way) which is a tabloid famous for bullshit clickbait articles, slander, blatant lies, right-wing extremism and conspiracy theories.
Yeah, that's exactly what they said. You have to be classified as disabled to get medical benefits like that. So they're going to consider single people or people who can't have kids as disabled. Even though it's not actually a disability.
This isn't clickbait, or slander, or lies. You don't fully comprehend what implications and precedent represent on a political level~
And they're going to increase your taxes to pay for any random idiot who wants to say "I'm single and I want kids, give me benefits for it"
WHO only sets guidelines and standards, it won't and can't enforce them.
Whether they consider this broadened definition of infertility to be a disability is irrelevant because whether something is a disability and what privileges come from that classification is entirely up to the health service in your country.
For example the ADA in the US already limits what kind of infertility they consider a disability, and in most states they don't even cover any infertility treatments by health insurance plans even for the legitimately "disabled infertile" couples to begin with.
So it is hard to imagine they would follow WHO guidelines on something they already don't follow.
Besides, the US doesn't even have universal health care, so what support (if any) you are eligible for would be decided on a regional level.
On the other hand, where I live infertility isn't considered any kind of disability but we cover infertility treatments by insurance by default because of universal health care.
It's fine, nobody is going to take what they're saying into consideration, unless you have an abnormal mentality. I also, doubt ANY doctor will call me disabled because I'm single, actually I'm pretty sure many health professionals/experts will shake their heads at this.

Its entirely honest. The basest biological function of any sexually reproducing species is the production of offspring so if you never want children you are mentally defective. I'm an emotionless piece of shit and even I want to produce some offspring whether through a relationship or a sperm bank.
its terrible. if single people want to get a child they must find a suitable partner like nature intended it. to go to a facility as a single fertile person and ask for a baby is bullshit. it is not a matter a medical or health matter it is a social matter. the world HEALTH organization need to fucking not meddle in SOCIAL affairs. it is not called the world social organization. this organization is doing things outside of its scope and i seriously question their motives.

You aren't actually going to get any benefits or discounts. As long as you still work, you'll be paying taxes, and those taxes are going to go to paying for the benefits of you, and everyone else who wants to leach off the government and use being single as an excuse.

I can't find it anywhere on W. H. O's website - if you can please link it. But, if it's true, then that's absurd. That's turning what is a misfortune or a personal choice into a disability. Hopefully they take it back...

The only disability part I see in being single is them yanking tons of tax bucks out of my check barbecue I'm single. Hurts like hell.
