First check if you are not loosing water. Second to build muscle, you need eneough proteins (animal or vegetable), but in 5 small portions a day. The metabolism can only absorb a limited amount of proteins, the rest leaves via the kidneys. And be sure you have enough carbs to balance your energy consumption. And of course, to build muscle you need heavy enough weights and train every muscle untim collapse to stimulate growth.

You lose the weight them regain it in muscle. I weigh 90 and before o started going to the gym I was 85. Protein shakes help also.
Try to count your calorie intake. when you workout at the gym and go though the day, you burn a lot of calories. So you need to eat enough where you replenish the lost calories and the extra calories can be used to build muscle. Don't go out of hand and eat like crap (fast food, junk food, etc.). Eat enough protein, and carbohydrates
Gain more muscle mass to help offset the weight loss? Less cardio, higher protein diet, weightlifting.
