Could you give me advice on counting calories?

download an app. if you're concerned about losing weight i have some simple solutions to your problem. do not buy any junk food or processed food. buy vegetables and fruits frozen in bulk. look up some smoothie recipies. skip the milk and go with unsweetened almond milk, or coconut milk. do not drink anything other than water or unsweetened tea. if you must have something taste sweet use splenda. avoid bananas. caculate all the calories your body uses to function in a day. my body uses 874 calories a day. A pound of body fat is 3500. in a week of just existing i burn around 6,100 calories. i need to remove 2000 calories from my intake in a span of 7 days. that means i need to either cut 300 calories from my food intake, or walk 3 miles a day.

I have lost 50 lbs in 200 days by counting calories and walking 5 miles daily. The best result for me was to stay under 1200 calories per day, but I am older. You might be able to do 1500 if you walk. A diet of higher protein is usually better. Best of Luck

All you need to do is measure out everything you eat for a couple meals. Read how many calories are on the label PER SERVING. Just add them alll up. You'll only have to do it a couple times and then you'll get the hang of urbanization and you won't have to keep reading labels every time because you'll just know.

Example. My meals are like this

2 cups of small elbow pasta
1 cup of chickpeas
Half a cup of diced chicken breast
1 cup of marinara sauce.

And that all comes down to roughly 1000 calories.

1) Be brutally honest with yourself.

2) Buy and prepare your own food and drinks, drink water otherwise.

3) Look on the labels.

4) Eat and drink in portions you know the calorie count of (for example a standard sized glass of 250ml).

5) Plan ahead.

Get a scale and weigh your food and then put it into myfitnesspal. com because that will give you the calorie intake.

Also, make sure you know how much you should be eating. Otherwise, there's no point in counting calories.

And make sure you get the calories from the right place. 300 calories of fruit is not the same as 300 calories of pasta.

To make your life easier - focus on eating natural - organic - unprocessed food - eat everything raw other than meat and other foods that require cooking like noodles or rice. This will keep your calorie intake low. Also copy the diets of people you know who are skinny.

My advice is.. round way up. I was really bad about this. I would take all the ingredients.. calculate them.. and say something came out to 420 calories? I'd call it 500 or so lmao.

All I'm saying is last Summer size 0 was too big on me and atm I fit a 2 very nicely.

Just see that your daily intake is less than your needs. And the last depends on your activity level. So you have to define that first to know the calories needed to loose fat (not muscle !!!)

Or you could just find out your daily nutritional needs you'll actually find out how many calories to eat per day by doing that.

I recon mend checking out the ISSA 1,2,3 macronutrient ratio.

I never count calories i just go on a 30 minute walking program daily
and cut back on how much i eat. I'm not a big eater but just eat enough
to make me feel comfortable.

Scan barcodes with the myfitness pal app. It has helped me tons!
