It only takes me 4-6 shots of tequila to get drunk so should I be going for something with a high alcohol percentage or something straight with no flavouring or sweetners?
Thanks!
I have read that your body metabolizes alcohol first, and puts the food on the back-burner, so to speak. (People say you get a "beer belly" , but I'm pretty sure it's the fries and late night pizza that is the real problem! If you're throwing a party, have some carrot+dip out, or fruit, just in case your drunk self remembers to be healthy, or pop an apple in your bag if you're going out)
I reckon your PT is on the money there - the soda makes the drink last longer, and sweeteners go to your belly.
But then again, it's your birthday! (Happy birthday!) Have a great time and don't beat yourself up about anything next day! (It's totally true what they say about mixing your intake up and down quite frequently, to avoid dreaded plateaus. .)
What is your diet? The most low-calorie is a dry wine.
Mine is counting macros... so counting how much protein, carb and fat to eat in a day
Drink anything you want for your birthday and resume your diet the next day or day after. You deseve to celebrate it by drinking anything you want. Just don't drink beer but anything else should be fine.
