There are some valid reasons, and then there are some reasons that are just laughable.

Valid reasons first.

• 30 (give or take a couple years) is pretty much the age when it becomes impossible to be "hot by accident".
In other words, if you don't TAKE CARE of yourself -- in terms of diet, lifestyle, physical health, and mental health -- then, when you hit thirty, you're about to jump off a great big cliff in terms of yr looks, energy, and "youthfulness" of all kinds.
Before that, you can eat like shit, drink like a fish, smoke like a chimney, party all night (while eating like shit and drinking like a fish), do hard drugs, and still look pretty good.
... Until you can't anymore.

• For WOMEN who want to have a marriage with biological children, but are still single (and/or are with boys who clearly aren't ever going to commit)... 30 is when it's time to start hitting the fertility panic button.
The odds of conception typically don't REALLY fall off a cliff until mid-late 30's, but, if a woman still needs to date around, meet the right boy, get to know him, form a solid relationship, and get married before she has babies... yeahhh.

• For BOYS... 30 is around the age where it's no longer possible to be a "lovable loser" / "rebel without a cause" / boy who gets lots of pussy despite having a directionless life with no goals or sense of purpose.
Are you a stoner who does nothing all day except surf? A player who can't hold down a steady job, who can't keep friends, but who can still go from woman to woman telling sweet-sounding lies? An "aspiring" artist/musician/actor/other creative type who's still a complete unknown?
... Well, then, hate to tell ya, but, you're pretty much shit out of luck when you hit thirty. From that point onward, women are gna need boothangs who actually DO thangs.

• And, honestly, 30 is that age where, in the eyes of teenagers, you might as well be a thousand years old.
(... Unless you have an **incredible** amount of youthful charisma -- and a job that puts you in regular contact with teenagers AND gives you high status in their eyes.)

Ok, those are the good reasons.

As far as the laughable reasons... This whole shit about "hitting a wall".
As I said -- "Hitting the wall" is the fate of BOTH sexes, if they don't take care of themselves physically (and mentally, too).

Some men, like a lot of g@g men, think 30+ women are old, when it comes to looks. And they say men age like wine... Lol, maybe, if they are talking about anything else but looks, but if they're talking about looks... nah. Men and women look better when they're in their late teens- early 30s, period. Now, if you're talking about other aspects besides looks, it's because 30+ people are seen as complete adults. Nowadays so many people in their 20s act like they were still teenagers.

I don’t think 30+ is old. I don’t think 40 is old either, not nowadays.

But then also it all depends. My mom for example is 45 but behaves like and old woman and complains about her age a lot. But then I know other people in their 40s and 50s that seem really young.

I think if you feel young other people perceive you as young. :)

Well its old for a woman anyways since you have a short peak window compared to mens due to biology circumstances that can't be changed. Youth, beauty and fertility which men find attractive in women for a potential partner decreases with age unfortunately and gets harder for a woman to find a quality partner. This is why women should trade their party years in their 20s and settle down if they wish to grab a good loyal nice guy.

It's only true in terms of the biological life of women. Other than that, every decade older is "OLD" for different people for different reasons.

Because they are dumb as hell. I had a 16 year old call me old and I'm like yeah and to my 3 year old you're old. lol I loved being 30. I felt so liberated and felt like a real adult.
