Why has my finger been red and swollen for the past 2 weeks?

I haven't injured it or done anything to it. The swelling isn't going down

Arthritis or you jammed it. Jamming is very common and can heal by its self. Jamming could be caused by anything from closings door wrong or catching a ball at a weird angle

It can be some kind of an infection or allergy. Also that could be an insect bite especially if it scratches.

Need more information. Does it hurt to move it? Is the swelling soft or hard? Is the area warm?

It only hurts when I bend it all the way. The swelling is soft and the area is not warm.

Sounds like its a cyst. Wait a week or so, if it doesn't go down see a orthopaedic surgeon NOT a gp.

You should see a doctor anyway. Especially if it’s painful and swollen

The pain is unnoticeable unless I bend it far. I've already been toa doctor and they didn't know either

Really looks like you jambed your knuckle. I have a finger like this. Do you play basketball or volleyball? I did mine with a basketball hitting the tip of my finger.

Possible arthritis. Does it feel like you need to crack it? Does it ever hurt?

I don't notice any pain unless I bend it all the way. I don't feel the need to crack it

It shows symptoms of insect bite. In 1 week the pain will subside and your finger will almost come back to normal.

Ice for 15 minutes.
