Now , I'm not a doctor but I believe its an infected hair floccule as its been there this long , now seems overkill for one spot , but go the doctor , she will give you a course of anti biotics that break down the infection , its nothing to worry about as such but to stop any spread etc , its a good idea to attend --

Good luck - just keep the area clean and dry , until you get to the doctor , try not to scratch , I'm pretty confident that I'm correct , but lets see.
