Feels like I have a stone in the ball of my foot? Sharp pain?

I went to the podiatrist and they told me
It was a callus but i know it’s not because the pain is so sharp and when I walk the ball of my foot hits the ground and it feels like I’m walking on a stone or have a rock on the ball of my foot and it’s also numb too? What could it be? What do I do?

Sometimes sand or dirt can enter a wound and cause something like a pearl to grow inside the heel of a person's foot. That happened to my mother once. A doctor may have to make an X-ray of your foot sometime to make sure there isn't something like that in in the bottom of your foot. I'm not sure exactly how that happened to my mother. It may have happened because she had been walking barefoot at the beach. Walking barefoot can cause a lot of problems.

It could be a bone spur in the ball of your foot hopefully the Podiatrist took a x-ray or MRI of your foot to find out what it is. They should
check to see if you have one leg shorter than the other.
