My girlfriend has very definite views on this. One time, to surprise her, I shaved my chest hair, pubes and armpits. She was surprised all right - she hated it. She said she wants a man to look like a man, not like he'd yet to go through puberty.
Now grant, I shaved more than you asked about in your question, but there are - at least in my gfd's view - just things that make guys look like guys. Besides, the evolutionary reason for male body hair is, in part, to help capture pheromones that make guys more attractive to females.
When you shave - and that includes armpit hair - you are basically helping to send your sex appeal into space. Why the hell would any guy want to do that?
Thanks, I'll keep my body hair - armpits and all. Besides, what girlfriend wants, girlfriend gets.01 Reply- +1 y
Saw your update. That is a bit of a surprise, though it is my understanding that shaving armpit hair is actually more common in Europe. (We had several lifeguards at a neighborhood swimming pool last year - all from Serbia and Croatia and all with shaved armpit hair. (Yeah, weird thing to notice - but hell, 1 is eh, 5 is "What the hell?")
Anyhow, my girlfriend has told me no way - and her vote counts as 30 if I want sex. So...

Oh wow I actually voted wrong cuz I translated underarm wrong._. I feel so dumb cuz I was about to "rant" over the wrong meaning xD anyways
I personally do it, and most men I know do it.. If it's is "basic"
hygene I can't say for sure but I believe it has more to do with your ancestry and how much hair naturally grows on your body.
Have a good day!00 Reply
Anonymous(25-29)+1 yEww Obviously! Who likes stinky beasts? Not at all acceptable! We women aren't fools to invest so much time in our well being & apparently meeting societal standards of being hairless, you should do basic self-care too. & I say not just underarms but hands & legs too.

"who likes stinky beasts?"
Please tell me what you said was sarcasm because you know as long as the guy showers and cleans himself that he won't stink right? - +1 y
@ciitruskiwi if he is hairy then he is more likely to get sweaty and stinky very easily and slo hairy looks beastly.
Opinion Owner+1 y@ciitruskiwi No it wasn't sarcasm, I meant it. Having body hair is unhygienic, especially for men, they sweat a hell lot more than women, they should do basic cleaning, (and by basic cleaning I do mean including hair removal) or else they're no different than dirty animals & why to disrespect animals, even animals clean themselves!
Opinion Owner+1 yLol 😂 @guyuser2 absolutely no! I meant hairy men WHO DON'T MAKE ANY EFFORT TO BE CLEAN & HYGIENIC are worse than animals.
+1 yI don’t care mine didn’t and I’ve dated them that didn’t there guys didn’t care but mine shaves his belly arms underarms and I wouldn’t want anything different now

+1 yI've tried it, but I sweat too much working in the summer. I'll do HVAC in 130 degree attics. I'd get bad rashes. But I now keep it shorter with clippers than before. So it doesn't hang out when you're wearing a tank.
10 ReplyI don’t care, if he wants to then he should, if he doesn’t then he shouldn’t 😋

Hell no
there should be no ''should'' or ''shouldn't''. It's only up to you where you want to keep your body hair so it's neither a yes or no
10 Reply
+1 yIt should just be a trim, given mens propensity for growing underarm hair and how damp it gets in there, completely shaving it can lead to painful ingrown hairs
10 ReplyMost guys don't (including me) unless they're a professional wrestler. Most wrestlers shave their underarms because they put their opponents in a headlock a lot so they don't want their sweaty armpits all up on their opponent's faces. Lmao.

+1 yWell, it's their choice. I shave mine, as I think it looks better and cuts down on odour and sweat.

+1 yNo. But then again your body your rules. It doesn't affect me.

I personally don't have a problem with armpit hair. The only hair I don't like on a guy is chest hair.
- +1 y
Yeah that's about it.
Anonymous(30-35)+1 yIt is up to you what you shave. I shave my underarms and even shaved my legs for awhile just because I think the hair is gross and it prevents out stains. It's your body so do what you want.
10 Reply666 opinions shared on Health & Fitness topic. i shave mine, really don't like those extra stench grounds, in case i put my arms on someone else's shoulders
00 ReplyIt is his choice although I would prefer him not to.
00 ReplyNo, i am very pro natural , whatever is your natural is your best.
00 ReplyTrim it, because the surface of the hair is needed for sweating, if you shave them, the sweat will run down your skin which feels really gross
10 ReplyUse clippers and trim that birds nest down. Helps reduce the stank.
00 ReplyI don’t think it would help them much because men sweat more than women.

I like the way it looks on men. I had a young lady in my group class who doesn't shave, it was a little sexy on her too.

This is just an age thing I see most of this modern men grooming as very effeminate because for the first 35 years of my life everyone considered it effeminate. It's only really been the last couple of years that you have seen some guys start to do this. Nothing really wrong with it, but I do tease my younger friends about it
Yes for sure. Men should keep it pretty short.
00 ReplyI trim them and, it feels lot more comfortable
