why don't guys seem to like skinny girls anymore? I'm 17 and I'm skinny but I'm not up myself, I'm easy going and I don't judge other people, and I'm very smart. but people always seem to think that skinny girls a bitches and judge other girls and are sluts.

I've never had a boyfriend, but guys do notice me but they never really approach me. my sister said to me that its probably because guys don't like skinny girls and they think skinny girls are sluts.

i always hear bad things being said about skinny girls too and I've been called names by other girls for being skinny.

so guys...are you even attracted to skinny girls?

I've had enough of being judged, some people think its fine to put down skinny girls.

Speaking as a male for my own preference, I am really "only" attracted to girls who are slim (I say slim rather than skinny because the term skinny can be seen as derogatory, as you can imagine).

But each male have their own preference. Some prefers "bigger" and others as myself prefers "smaller". You are probably just around the type of males who wasn't attracted to your type. Every male is different... speaking from one of who's culture is of those who prefers their females to be "bigger" or "thick" ... I however do not fit into the majority of those of my culture who is attracted to any of that, at all!

I'm sure, if you have not found someone by now, that you will find someone who will appreciate who you are as a person, as well as your intelligence that you have to offer. Yes, I am also into intelligent females too, however that will be a different topic from this discussion here.
(Heck if I had known you personally and I was seeking someone, you would sound like someone who I'd be seeking... however it is more than just looks for me, in fact, that is the least importance for me, it is also about one's personality, their intelligence and having a kind heart... so attraction is just attraction, however it is the personality that will matter most..)

Can I sensitively ask what you mean by skinny? One person's skinny is another's svelte, slim or slender...

Trust me, if you're at least healthy and not living with an eating disorder, there will be guys out there who will find you attractive. The spectrum of maledom accomodates all women and all body types.

To be honest, women are usually far more critical and subjective of other women's body shapes than most men are.

If there's someone you're interested in, smile at him a lot and make it clear that you're open to an approach and see how it goes...

In my experience, most guys do like skinny girls very much. Just try to be confident in your body and don’t listen to people you tell you you’re too skinny. Chances are they’re just jealous, especially if they’re other girls.
