Of all of the guys I've been attracted to, I've noticed that a good portion of them have actually been slim and usually under 6' tall. I am 5'7" and while I definitely don't mind a taller guy, I do find that it's easier to talk face to face with someone around the same general height as myself rather than having to look way up or way down. It's not a huge deal, but it's nice. I don't really care about a guy being super built. In shape is good, but I'm not into the bodybuilder look, myself. I'm completely fine with slim body types and average builds.
Personally, I prefer muscular men.
But I also, at my peak of lifting before fucking separating my shoulder (cry), outlift most men.
If I'm stronger than someone, I don't generally want to date them. But strength isn't just physical - it's also emotional.
If I were older, I have several men I'd totally go after who are slighter. Because they're strong mentally and emotionally, and clever enough to outwit a hulking brute.
Used to be the norm especially when men were in their 20s. Most adults haven't seen this because the shift in weight started around the 90s.
Women don't care if you can actually fight or if you're actually tough, what they care about is that you LOOK the part.
This is why women don't make any money betting on boxing or MMA, they always think the tallest or most muscular guy will win. Women have really weird ideas about fighting and martial arts. They see a guy who's tall and they think, "Oh, he must be the best fighter, he looks so dominant."
Any guy who has any actual martial arts experience knows that there's always dudes way bigger than you who are slow, clumsy, and timid, and there's dudes way smaller than you who can ragdoll your ass. AND vice versa. You can never tell by looking how a guy moves and whether he can take a punch or give one, for that matter.
My girlfriend prefers skinny guys, but I'm not short by any measure. I think the issue you have isn't "you're skinny", it's "you're short". The thing girls are after is a guy who they perceive as capable to defend her and her children against the overwhelming majority of threats that may come along at any point in time. Guys who are tall are automatically perceived as strong, even if they're not compared to other guys. Conversely, guys who are close in height to or shorter than the girl are perceived to be "roughly of similar physical utility as the girl herself", even though an average dude who's 5' is far stronger than an average girl at 5'. Girls aren't into that as much, however if a guy is 5' and jacked the girl won't focus as much on his height because his apparent muscle mass screams "able to deal with whatever comes his way" and there's no physical comparison made to the girl (in the girls mind) because she's not that jacked and comparing the two is plainly silly. That's the plot summary of what you're dealing with here.
Ok so this can be based on different reasons.
#1 Some girls are not slim so the idea of being with a slim guy does strike fear because there will be people that will wonder why someone with "her body" would date him. So they will feel insecure and don't want that type of negativity in their life.
#2 Its all based on preference. Most guys have a specific type of girl they go for (excludes personality). Every person has an image of their future partner and its not something that we can control.
#3 As for the height difference, i am tall for my age and do pass the average height of a girl. I do not want someone shorter than me but i don't mind if we are the same height or the guy is a few centimetres shorter. There is nothing wrong with short guys, its just that i do not like the idea of bending down to hug or kiss a guy when we are both standing. That's just how i have become as a person so I can't change it.
Because strength is everything. Well, ok, 70%, so not exactly EVERYTHING. But you can't go wrong with being strong. Even when all they can see is men's faces, women will consistently pick the strongest men as the most attractive.
And that's true even among the women who say they don't like muscular men. My personal opinion is that when you say "muscular", women automatically think "roided out bodybuilder" rather than a hard working natural man. I could be wrong, though.
But if you think about being a man, strength is #1. Intellect is #2. Those two factors determine almost every aspect of your life.
Because we want someone who can lift us up like Patrick Swayze in dirty dancing and not feel like our man is going to break under our weight when we try and cuddle with them or sit on them. For the more insecure girls who aren't comfortable with how thicc we are... myself included we don't want a man who is skinnier than us because it makes us feel self conscious... and the other points are valid too.
I always date skinnier or thinner men. Attraction isn’t always the same for every person. People often have no control over whom they are attracted to. That’s why people shouldn’t body shame. Gives people who are either “too big” for society or “too thin” body dysmorphia and will later affect their sex lives as many of them are insecure.

Guys who have a Bit more meat on them are more fun to cuddle. Plus I just don't really like how it looks

For me it's because i am more attracted to guys with meat on them their cuddles feel so much warmer and cuddly and I like that feeling off having a stronger guy holding me I feel more protected and safe but more importantly after being with someone who was on the skinner side feeling his bones and seeing how skinny he was it was not a good feeling

Who said women didn't like skinny men? I like all types skinny, muscular, dad bod as long as the dude ain't skin and bones or morbidly obese I find there body to be great, depending on the dude of course.
Will say though not into dudes who wear there jeans that tight as the man in the photo. How his balls breathing?
It is based on personal attraction. We can’t help who we like.
The broader, more meaty men are my type because they give me a sense of protection and security. As well as the fact that the skinny men tend to be more judging on the woman's weight.
