Why didn't anyone tell me about cold/frost burns?

I knew about frost bite but, I didn't know you could get cold frost burns from dry ice, nitrogen or different chemicals. That's what I learned today.

Yeah, good thing it wasn't serious. You'll recover. Wear insulating gloves next time. I think using liquid nitrogen should be obvious that you shouldn't be handling things with bare hands.

A surprising amount of things will burn you in northern alberta in the winter. Belt buckles, light poles, car door handles and really really cold metal in the outhouse come to mind.

I got burns from snow before, I lived by a big hill and it was midnight and snowing heavy so me and my mum decided to slide down the fresh snow before everyone else could the next day lmao. We both ended up with burns.
