What was with the warm up session? Yes - gradually increaisng the weights is a good thing, but the reps confused me. When I lifted in high school we were taught to fully extend to make one rep. His arms not extending very much is certainly not how I would do it. It looked like he was bouncing the bar off his chest.
I will give him props though - the highest I got when I was a young buck was 200lbs on bench press. Other guys I worked out with (football jocks that were built like a brick shit house) would have the bar bend when they benched because there was so much weight on each end!!

He actually has a decent amount of muscle mass if you look at his instagram. The reason he can lift so much is 1.) genetically gifted for the bench press/ he has good leverages for the lift (short arms) and 2.) he is most likely a bench specialist who mainly focuses on benching for like 10+ years. That combined with the leverages allows him to be that strong.
Big muscles doesn't mean you're strong. Strength is a mental game
I saw that video. Much discussed in BB forums. Freak of nature.
He's light because he's short but he's not that small, he's pretty built.
Short guys, with their shorter arms have leverage advantages, I see it all the time in the gym.its really easy if you train properly. i could but i don't like bench pressing.
