How do you smile in a picture?

For some reason I just can't for the life of me. It doesn't matter if it's a family portrait or a picture at a party or just my profile picture here. I just can't smile. I have really good teeth and I smile a lot throughout the day. Hell, people have told me to practice in front of the mirror. But that doesn't help. Is it just a guy thing? Or have other people had this problem before but got over it?

not sure, but I have the same problem. I feel really awkward when I smile in photographs, like its fake or something. the only reason I do it is because some people have said they like my smile, so when I do snap a photo I make it a point to something that genuinely made me happy so it won't be a fake "photo" smile (although ironically it still is lol).

haha idk. Could be a disconnect in your brain since smiling because you're happy and smiling because you are forced to use different areas of your brain.
