What Guys Said
Men have issues? lol they just need to man up!
To a degree yes. Are most things over looked yes. Mainly due to either guys unwilling to share them or guy to proud to admit them.
However there are other factors.
Men's mental health issues are treated by society in the same way it treats all men's issues and challenges. They are ignored, minimized, marginalized and treated as unimportant compared to women's issues.
Ignored no. I'm sure they're being helped equally to women's mental health issues, though I'm sure that they are taken less seriously in the public eye.
Sounds about right, we're seen as "Disposable" by society as a whole, so we find our own solutions,
"I see lonely ships upon the water...
better save the Women And Children First!"
"Could This Be Magic" by Van Halen 1980.
Sums it all up perfectly.
No you get a life full of problems then they just add to it and kill you even further.
I mean had a life full of problems with unfair circumstances.
Yep. Men's issues in general are disregarded every day. It's brutal and unfair, but it's the world we live in unfortunately.
Because men don't talk much about those problems. Instead man face them like a man. Women talk much about it because they are mostly weaker and they are not man.
A lot of the time. You normally get ,, get over it , as if it magic to say it and all things are great...
Mainly because most people only are concerned with women's health.
Not just men's everybody. They just prescribe you a dangerous pill or totally ignore the problem.
Men metal health is getting more light every day but it is a slow process because you have to do a deconstruction of a series of stereotypes and things that were expected from men to then start focusing on the actual process of treatment.
Mental health period is a slow process. Men going to get mental health assistance is a slow process for the reasons you state.
How many men do you know that will throw down their walls and go into a group session and talk about feelings and expecially a sexual assulted group and talk about that? Far and few between if you ask me. My dad still has yet to talk about his trama and openly admit the reasons he has acted and the reasons he has ruled the way he has. Time has enlighten me on that situation and has allowed me to move on yet he still stays stuck.
Most definitely. Our problem not lay in "toxic masculinity" or any of that nonsense, but the ignorance of society.
We can't blame society fully. As society is all of us made up as a whole. Times have changed, no more do men need to be the provide. No more do men do only physical jobs we are now in a time and age of technology and the old rules do not apply. The old rules were made up of men bullied by their fathers into becoming a heartless beast. A man who worked all day and drunk his feelings away by night.
No one is going to feel sorry for men nor should they. We must pick ourselves up and be strong as men ought.
... which means dealing with mental health issues.
And you’ll notice that not a single women responded to this question, but that I am the 71st male.
The person that asked this made it where women can't respond.
Oh well that makes sense.
But why?
I'm guessing he either assumed they would disagree or he wanted to make them look bad.
I think the biggest problem is, that many men don't like to talk about their mental problems.
No. They are not. Mental health in general is poorly supported.
Blue anon post, sounds like a ramp up for a incel or Mgtow.
My mental health experience tells me that there is help available for both genders if they are open to it.
Yeah it is. Makes commit suicide more than women & don't have as much support as women do for personal issues
Yeah it is completely ignored. Women could care less about our mental health, yet they want us to bend over backwards to accommodate theirs.
yes it's... because the system is designed that way... spiritual reasons is behind that
Not totally ignored, but it clearly does not get as much attention as it should.
They are, and not only that but women are horrible to men with depression
the fact that not a single mowan has responded or even likes anything in this thread is prood enough.
The guy made it so that girls can't respond to this question.
oh, well... awkwaaaaard
Yes they are actually, but because of this men gets mature to handle conditions.
Thought who can't, those guys should look for help.
I don't feel like that. when you have friends they are always willing to listen they do to me.
Go look at men's suicide rates
Oh, it's not just mental health! 😅
Mental health as a whole is being largely ignored.
