Only plan on wearing it for an hour daily
Are waist trainers bad for your organs?
Only plan on wearing it for an hour daily
I think it's bad for you no matter how long you're wearing it. The length of time only effects just how bad it is. I'm also fairly sure you're not supposed to wear it while exercising. I think that's in one of the product warnings.
I wore a brace for years, for scoliosis, and that constricts the torso too. Not as much as a waist trainer would, at least not at the waist, but it's still restricting. Because of that, bracing has been shown to lead to increased rates of asthma and stunted lung capacity. (There are other effects too, but those are the ones that effect me the most). That's why it's only ever used when it's considered medically necessary. The brace was also very painful, and left scarring all over my ribs. The waist trainer doesn't cover as much surface area, and it's softer, so I don't think it would do all of that, but it still can't be comfortable.
I don't recommend using a waist trainer. It serves no medical purpose, and it's painful and uncomfortable, and it has a plethora of health complications that come with it. (I read once that it can move your ribs into a dangerous position.) I especially wouldn't wear it while exercising. I'm not sure exactly why there are warnings against it, but I wouldn't be surprised at all if it could cause asphyxiation or collapsed lungs.
Also, I'm not a doctor, obviously. I'm just guessing about everything. I would recommend consulting a doctor before buying one of those things.
A waist trainer is just a heavy duty girdle. It can only temporarily make you "look" smaller around the waist. The only permanent way is to exercise your natural girdle, your abs. And if you don't pinch in at the waist, or you're straight up and down, you'll be straight up and down, even if you lose weight. Your genetics determine that and there's no changing it.
It's dangerous. Same problems as corsets. Just not to the same degree. Your diaphragm needs to move therefore flexing your lower abdomen. Unless it's like a g suit dobt wear it. Compression g suits are used for bloodflow to the extremities when applying positive gravitational force to the body. Same concept here except I bet more restricting.

Here you go. Ever heard of corsets? Those things that made women's waists go as thin as a pencil?
Don't do this to yourself.

would believe. so long as your not feeling any discomfort or trying to go tighten it crazy tight. should be ok
but start off with short term usages to be safe. until your body becomes used to it being there.
I do my belly and lower back program at least one time per week, my muscles work like natural waist trainer.
I don't understand why you would want to wear one. What's the supposed benefit?
Shaping a muffin top belly
Wouldn't doing exercises that focus on the core be better?
It’s not really a matter of shape
More like a matter of time
this would speed up the process & ensure a good shape
I see, then I strongly don't suggest you using such a device.
I don't have any actual weight against my claims, but I believe that could cause you harm if used inappropriately. It would be far better if you find the time than using devices that pretty much restrict your movement, organs and even possibly, breathing.
Ok, I just looked up waist trainer on google and found this site.
www.hourglassangel.com/what-is-waist-training/
It gives a basic overview of what the product and it's effects are and it's exactly as I imagined.
A bogus dubious claim that it slims you down. All it does is compact your fat making you looks slimmer. They claim that it makes your fuller faster, which I believe since your stomach doesn't have room to expand, which helps you achieve your 2500 calories a day or less more quickly.
In other words, the product gives you a visual of what you desire instantly, it motivates you to work out and prevents your from stuffing yourself. All in all it's ok, but without working out or actually monitoring what you are eating it's just a piece of cloth that makes your waist sweat more quickly that other parts of your body.
I used to sleep with one on. It has never given me any problems.
I have someone I know who wears one in my boxing class I don’t think it’s smart idea.
you're a guy. what for? by the way it's dangerous for both opposite sex
waist trainers are not corsets, if you get one from a respected brand it should be perfectly safe
Depends on how tight. Spanx is known to damage your internal organs.
moderate waist training doesn't do bad things to you.
It's always better to work out without any outside help
Why would you do that? You should never wear such thing.
i think it's ok
