Here is you answer and it has nothing to do with eating or drinking. Its called a vasovagal response and it most often occurs in people your age. It happens when people don't know how to properly deal with a stressful situation. In turn they hold their breath during the event. That puts pressure on that diaphragm and causes your blood pressure to drop. Your piercer should have instructed you not to hold your breath. Surely as he or she is telling you not to hold your breath you obviously did it anyways. So basically you caused your body to short circuit. You are fine and there is nothing wrong with you nor will you have any lingering issues. I will say that in future you need to better control your anxiety and remember to breathe.
