Why does my therapist play with her hair during our sessions when we have therapy?

For starters a huge percentage of therapists are in the profession because they are or have been just as screwed up as their patient's they are seeing. This is one of the reasons I will never set foot in the office of a shrink. I have heard so many personal experiences of shrink's in the wrong it would shock you. This is why people should choose their caregivers carefully.

Do you think a therapist playing with her hair during a session while we are talking is screwed up on her part?

Playing with hair is a type of stim. Perhaps she has adhd or anxiety. Perhaps she’s just been in the habit of doing that all her life.
