Ugh! That sucks! I had braces too and they hurt for a few days but then it went away. If it's unbearable, you should go back to your orthodontist and have him loosen them a bit. That may mean you'll have to wear them longer though, so if you can manage a week or so before doing that, it would be worth it to see if the pain goes away.

Your gums and jaws will stop hurting in a couple of days. In the meantime, take some kind of pain reliever (like Tylenol or Motrin - whatever works for you) and find something to drink like soup or milkshakes. The brackets in the back hold your wires in and provide the leverage to pull your front teeth back into place.
I had the same sort of braces and, honesty, it just takes time because you have jaw pain, gum pain, and tooth pain at the same time. Have you asked your orthodontist for any suggestions?

take benadryl along with midol or tylenol and knock yourself out. it's gonna last for a couple of days just try to get sleep at night.
take an advil and have soup :)
