How to relieve pain/soreness after getting braces tightened?

Even to a certain extent. It's just that I want to eat my food comfortably and I am going to my hometown in few days, I don't wanna miss out the delicacies there. I said my dad to not make an appointment today but then the dentist is only available every first Sunday of the month.

From my experience it takes three days for that throbbing and pulling of the braces to stop. It is definitely a "pain" to deal with...

Yes it takes 2-3 days for the pain to stop however there has to be a way, right? Only to relieve the pain till an extent and temporarily?

Oddly enough, the teeth of right side only hurt not the left side, I discovered it while having my dinner. I can chew well in left side. I guess because right side is tightened with much pressure.

You can take painkillers if you wish too. Your dentist will tell you which painkillers are best you can take them.

Well the dentist suggested not to take painkillers unless the pain hits really hard because painkillers maybe really affective and have side effects due to my body mass.

I remember that. It sucks. Sorry. Everyone is different but Tylenol worked for me alternating with some form of ibuprofen.

Right? And the mouth has different sets of nerves so it can be uneven.

2 of my kids had braces. they suffered. Warm salt gargles to ease the pain. but you have to just go with it. Sorry about your situation
