or set yourself a little charter to when you can and can’t eat it, like for example: I will only eat it once a week, or once a month... up to you
and then jus commit to this charter n don’t give in or let yourself go, self discipline and commitment is key to anything you want to achieve in life
dont be a slouch. Don’t give up on braking your addiction. Go full force

You really don't need them anyway.
You can season foods with berries, bananas, dates, raisins, honey or other fruits to get a sweet taste.
And for salty taste, use different greens, like leek, brokkoli, asparagus, cardemon, etc or meats and fish etc etc.
They also provide you with minerals and vitamins, i haven't cooked with that salt/sugar crap in years.
Start by eating very sugary and salty foods instead of eating those ingredients straight. Then work your way down from there.
Think about how unhealthy excessive amounts of both are for you.

I just stopped adding sugar and salt to my food. I used to really pour it on and all of a sudden a couple of weeks ago I decided it would be a little thing I could do to be a little more healthy.
Why not have a glass of water every time you want to eat sugar or salt from the bowl.Cut it down to 3/4 every so often. Use substitutes to make up. So for example. You consume 1 cup sugar a day. Start using 3/4 and add healthy substitutes you may find online. Or just give up completely. If you are consuming in very high or high amount. Just du it down to your previous normal. You may not like it in the beginning. If you can keep yourself motivated well and good.
Focus on the the possible consequences of continuing to eat excessive amounts of both.
You don’t want those consequences right? Let that be your motivation to stop and stay away from doing that.While you don't have to stop all at once. (Although that would be the best option.) Just try to control yourself and slow down at a steady Pace. Eat a little less then before, then eat less than that, then repeat until you stop. Thats how I get out of a lot of unhealthy habits and it really works for me.
Thatsa crazy habit to pick up, but the key to stopping is self discipline, however often you eat them, cut that in half, the amount if time and how much to eat. After a few days /weeks half that portion you halved previously and so forth before you know it you won't be eating it anymore. Good luck 👍
