Simple answer. Your skin has darker pigment so when you get any sort of pimple of skin blemish your skin turns dark. The best advice is stop picking and exfoliate your skin weekly.

My wife gets them too, those are keloid scars, generally from itching/picking at bug bites or pimples. Then you pick and itch at those more, so they get bigger. Most Asians form keloid scar tissue easily, so wear socks on your hands I guess?
