Ladies, is it normal to poop like crazy before your period?

Sometimes I doubt whether I have some intolerance or it's just a normal period symptom.
I'm about to get my period in the following days and it's been 5 days since I started to bloat like crazy, after eating I look pregnant and I've been pooping like crazy every single day! My stomach growls all day long and I'm so gassy!!

Period poop is a real thing.
It's just not glamorous- and as with most sex Ed aimed towards females, if its not pretty, they don't want to teach us about it.
It's to do with excess hormones and their effect on your muscles.
It's totally normal.
