Hello everyone! I have insulin resistant PCOS and I’m not looking for medical advice. So my doctor put me on Progestrone for 7 days and told me to wait 6 weeks to take a pregnancy test. We changed it from 14 days on to 14 days off. To hopefully encourage ovulation. I normally don’t get periods without that medication. Well I got my period from that cycle of progrestrone. It was from 9/20-25. Well two days ago I started bleeding what I would consider lightly. It started out brown and has now gone to a very light pink. Normally my periods are heavy. Does anyone know what could be happening? Thanks! Update the bleeding only lasted 2-3 days for me which isn’t normal.

Well I can’t really say what’s normal and what’s not. As you know, PCOS isn’t “normal”. It could be possible that the progesterone is effecting your period, making it lighter - in which case, awesome! Heavy periods with PCOS are horrible. I see no reason for concern if your period is lighter than your usual. If you’re really concerned, bring it up with your doctor, as only you would know what’s normal for your body. Strangers on the internet can’t really say.
