Anonymous(45 Plus)+1 yNo, I haven't taken it and i dont intend to at this time.
There are side effects for some people (I know people) and I dont consider it to be in my best interests to take something which could potentially cause me pemenant damage in order to protect myself against something which I will almost certainly not get and even if i do is extremely unlikely to be a serious problem.
The reason the vaccine is being pushed out so aggressively is to protect everyone through a herd immunity though nobody can be sure how many people actually need to have immunity in order for us all to reap the benefit of a herd immunity, more is obviously better than less. The numbers thrown around are between about 20% and 70%.
The vaccines themselves are a completely new approach, this is very much experimental medicine and the companies making them are completely shielded, legally speaking, as a result of emergency laws so you should not consider this to be as safe as any other medical treatment which is ordinarily available in your society.
A normal vaccine works by exposing your immune system to a virus in a weakened state so that your body can learn how to protect itself in a natural way, these vaccines work by telling your body to make antibodies directly by messing around with your dna / rna whatever, Im not an expert so i can't claim to understand this or know whether that is or how much of a problem that might be, but there always problems with any new technology so the chances of this being as good as it could be are literally ZERO.
As I am not in any immediate danger and as my government has demonstrated previously that it absolutely cannot be trusted, has not sought my informed consent (and has generally conducted itself in a dishonest manner), is not willing to take responsibility for any consequences i may suffer as a result of taking this vaccine, I am not at all inclined to do so.
What is the rush?
This isn't going away, its out there now and it will always be out there, which means that technology and medicine will continue to be developed, healthcare is free in my nation so i dont gain anything by having a free shot now, it will still be free later.
I actually been to my doctor to confirm this idea but I am fairly certain that if I were to goto my doctor and ask them to submit to me in writing a professional recommendation that taking the vaccine was in my interests and my best course of action in their medical opinion, thus having opened themselves up to prosecution etc I do not think they would do that.
When you go to take your vaccine you are not being advised by a doctor to take it, that entire process is being bypassed.
You and you alone are taking responsibility for taking it, if you choose to do so, or not.
Do not allow anyone to pressure you into taking it, frankly the people out there who are suggesting that others be forced belong in a gulag, (why should they have freedom themselves when they are not proponents of it?).
You decide.22 Reply

Asker+1 yThanks! Still thinking
+1 yYes, you should take it. There are 3 types of people. Those that are ok with it. Then anti vaxers. Lastly those that cannot take it. The last group have to be protected by herd immunity. That will only happen if the vast majority that CANhave the vaccine do so.
The result of many people refusing the vax would be that we have no chance of a reasonably normal life. It would not only put the anti vaxers in danger, but worse still, it would endanger those that CANNOT have the vax, and who may well be vulnerable because of the underlying health problems they have preventing them from having the vax.
Well done for going for it! My first is next week. Sod any sore arms! Still much easier than the 5 months of long covid I went though recently.610 Reply- +1 y
You had covid you already have antibodies for it no need for the shot in my opinion

@PeacefulRainDrop covid antibodies from catching it only last around 36 days, you can catch it multiple times quite easily

My friend has had antibodies for over 7 months now. He just got tested positive for them, and it has been nearly 8 months since he was infected.

Good. I’m gonna get my first shot in a week.

Also, there are multiple studies indicating that the number and type of T-cells that result from a covid infection are different than those that result from vaccination. The ones that result from vaccination are longer lived and more robust than the ones that result from infection. There is absolutely no reason to not be vaccinated.

+1 yI had my second Pfizer shot and had almost no symptoms, some weird things happened but it was all temporary, like for a few hours, I felt like I had difficulty monitoring my facial movements and on the second day, my hair was falling out at over 10x the regular rate. It all cleared up quickly and since I have so much hair, I do not mind if 12 extra strands go in one day.

+1 yI took it and my 92 year old mom took it.
We took the Pfizer which is the one I would recommend.
Side effects were very mild.
My arm where I got the shots was sore like I had done a workout after both shots. No big deal at all.
Both of us were a little tired for a day or so after the second shot (not after the first one), but also no big deal.
If you get Covid chances are you will be fine, but there is also a small chance you could die or get serious complications. It's not something you want to get because you have no way of knowing which category you will be in.
In our cases, I deemed it wise to get the vaccine, but everyone should make their own decision. In general, I think that it is wise for adults to get it. The consequences of not doing so are too risky. PS: not wearing a mask or having to worry about it anymore is a very liberating feeling.
Two more caveats. If you had Covid, there is no need to get the vaccine. You are already immune and studies show you don't need it. You may have had it and not even know it. So you might want to see if you can get an antibody test before getting the vaccine to see if you need it.
And second, I would not give the shot to younger people. They are finding out that a lot of young people... such as teenagers... especially boys... are developing a heart issue that is serious after taking the vaccine. I don't think the risk of getting Covid is serious enough for teenagers or younger to take the vaccine. That's just my opinion.34 Reply

I should add that some people do get more side effects like body aches, fever and chills, headaches and other things like that. ... it's more likely after the second shot, but you can also get it on the first one. This is normal. It doesn't mean you are sick, it just means your body is reacting to what it THINKS is the virus even though it isn't. After two or three days it should all go away.
A very small number of people also get an allergic reaction right after they take the shot, but you will be told to remain there for 15 minutes or so after you take it just to be sure you don't. And if you do, they know how to take care of it so you are safe.
Nothing is 100% risk free. But in my judgement, it is safer to get the vaccine than not get it. - +1 y
One last thing... the needle they use is very fine and short. If you have a competent person administering it you probably will barely even feel the shot. It's nothing.

Then a few months later they were taken to hospital with bowel spasms and severe pain... and now they no longer have control over their own bowels and can only take a shit with the aid of laxatives."

(I can't send a private message to you as I don't have the status. But I saw a post by you from a month ago about trying to warn your family. Did you have any success at all?
I am in the same boat... and I find it a continual hell that my 2 grownup kids - and the rest of all my family, and almost all my friends - can't hear me through the propaganda [I live in the UK too]. Knowing the real potential dangers only too well, I wioud be so sad to see them get hurt in the months/years ahead due to the injected untested chemicals.
On top of that there's the frustration of their feeling sorry for me for being gullible to conspiracy theorists, etc!
Anyway, I am looking for a way to approach my children - whom I normally leave alone when it comes to the Cov Great Divide - with a good set of logic, or something - which would penetrate the hypnotic barrier. I'd appreciate any thoughts you might have. Your post was one of very few relevant responses which came up in a [duck and go] search.) - +1 y
@McBryde Hi, you're welcome to message me of course. I hate to be defeatist, but honestly, I think some people, or even humanity as a whole, is going to have to learn its lessons the hard way. The house of cards is primed to tumble in a monumental way.
No, I had no success with my family. They tried to fear me into getting the vaccine (which of course I rejected). I tried to warn my sister and her husband, they pretty much jeered me. I tried to show them the yellow card deaths from the government's own website. I'm guessing I got such a visceral reaction from them because they weren't aware of the deaths, it frightened them, combined with the usual cognitive dissonance and collective arrogance. It's shocking that people don't even seem to be aware of the basics (the yellow card scheme, the high number of deaths and adverse incidents, the fact that it only has emergency use, long term effects unknown, manufacturers indemnified from liability - kind of tired of repeating it).
Unfortunately, my week was pretty bad as well. There was one girl who I had a conversation with. She wasn't getting the vaccine either. But it was quite a painful experience talking to her. I was talking about 'freedom day' and how I predicted it was going to be put back. And she was like, "oh, I thought we pretty much were free, we had most of our restrictions lifted, we can still do most things, go to the pub, shops, etc". And then I got the further sinking feeling, that she's all chill, unbothered by it all. And I'm looking like a lunatic to her by getting visibly angry or upset about it all.
The problem too, is like you say, the great division. But if you take a firm stance on it, you're essentially creating a division and a distance between you and those who you seek to inform or influence. Thus your strategy is nullified.
- +1 y
What can we do? I'll have to admit, most of my own works have been ineffective against the tor**** of propaganda. I guess, probably for our own sanity, we have to realise that certain things are beyond our (karmic) control. Seek solace in a higher power. Try not to get too entangled in arguments. Keep things simple and focus on key shocking facts and statistics (Such as covid deaths according to the ONS being 1% of total deaths, and total deaths being under the five year average). This is a learning curve for us all. Don't get bewildered by intellectual arguments. Speak from your moral core. Be outraged by the key injustices and the lunacy of it all.
Hugotalks videos can be good at conveying key facts succinctly: hugotalks.com/.../
Most probably won't watch though.
We also need to seek community and ways bypassing and ignoring restrictions for our own sanity. This past year plus has been extremely isolating.
But yeah, what can you do, if people aren't even willing to do the most basic of research? Even the fundamentals are off here. And it's all easily and quickly verifiable. So realistically, if people are too lazy for that, how are you supposed to help them? - +1 y
By the way, my interactions with that girl illustrate something interesting. if people are comfortable, their brains pickled with furlough, McDonalds, and Coronation Street; or at least they are comfortable in their own situation; then they will never wake up. Only when something effects them personally, do they actually care. The government is likely aware of this in their extensions of furlough scheme, till what, September is it now?
- +1 y
@McBryde I had the same problem with my family, and unfortunately there is nothing that can be done. I had to let them go and make peace with it. You could show them solid evidence and they would still deny it. Remember the brain washing has been going on since birth. After taking the shots the health of my family has gradually declined, and pre-existing health issues have become worse. But the vaccines are never to blame. They even ended up in hospital... but it's just a coincidence.
My advice to you is to accept it and make peace with it. Logic will not do a thing. Even when people are presented with decades of data about masks not working, they still wear them, and still ignore it. It's the same with the vaccines.
People should ask themselves why they are testing vaccines on children for a virus that has such a low mortality rate, and that has dozens of therapeutics and safe forms of treatment.
Anonymous(45 Plus)+1 ySome of these comments about feeling safe? JESUS CHRIST!
if you want to feel safe, get your iodine levels up so your tissues produce iodine in your sweat, kill the virus in your nasal cavity, on your skin, and in your body. Get enough vitamin D3, K2, magnesium, selenium. Supplement with a small amount of Nac n-acetyl cysteine daily. That reduces viral replication, reduces viral load, blocks the ACE2 receptor, produces Glutathione, and modulates the immune system. Get some liposomal vitamin C, colloidal silver, ponaris nose emollient, organic sulfur, DMSO... the list goes on. Give your immune system what it needs to allow it to be calm enough to avoid cytokine storm, and vigilant enough to function as it should do.
Synthetic chemicals in a lab, made by people that have criminal activities (look up their backgrounds), that are not liable for any injury you might get, and are untested is nothing but foolish!
If the vaccines were about your health, everyone would be tested for natural immunity before being given a dose.
And by the way, a family member of mine had both shots. Now they stink of mold. Their entire room stinks. Other family members that spend long enough around them feel ill too. Their blood pressure went from 120 (before shots) to 155 (after), they started to suffer stomach issues. Then a few months later they were taken to hospital with bowel spasms and severe pain... and now they no longer have control over their own bowels and can only take a shit with the aid of laxatives.
But if you want to call me a conspiracy theorist anti vaxxer, go ahead and take it. But don't be surprised if at some point you are hit with antibody dependency enhancement (ADE) or some other strange and unexplained illness. The vaccine is designed to cause your health to deteriorate gradually, particularly underlying health issues.20 ReplyIf you're under 50 then there really is no need as the whu flu is really only dangerous to those in their senior years.
But if you still want it then just keep in mind it is under an EUA, emergency use authorization. It isn't fully approved by the FDA like say the flu vaccine.43 Reply

I follow science (carefully) and I am quite good at math.
I received my first dose of Covidshield last Friday. Minor side effects (sore arm) and weakeness lasted less than seven hours. I cannot wait when I can gather safely with other vaccinated people and remove my mask, and not be concerned at all with social distancing. How absolutely liberating! Even inside, in tight quarters, without being worried about ventilation systems. To know that everyone there is safe, and will not cause my own death. To know that everyone there is safe, and to know that I will not accidentally cause their death.
So, unless you have known anaphylactic reactions to vaccines in general, you should get the vaccine20 ReplyI had a very bad case of COVID in November, 2020, and am experiencing what "they" call "Long COVID", with severe fatigue, weakness, loss of balance, loss of fine motor skills, shortness of breath, very high heart rate, and what feels like decreased mental abilities.
I did get both doses of the Pfizer vaccine, having had the second dose about three weeks ago.
With the first dose, I experienced full blown symptoms at about 80% of my original illness. Those symptoms lasted about a week.
The second dose gave me the same symptoms, but at about 50% of my original illness, lasting for a few days.
What is troubling is that my "Long COVID" symptoms have significantly worsened since having the vaccines.
That's my experience.04 Reply- +1 y

By the way, cases have doubled in my area in a week, (as of today ). Our 3rd wave is on its way, fuelled by the India variant. It is gonna come your way, so be prepared. 60% more infectious indoors than the original variants.
- +1 y
@Jessica405 Ok, what did I tell you last time? Telling me “cases have doubled” means NOTHING. How many cases did you have previously? What are they now? What is your population?
- +1 y
It went from 13 to 29 in 7 days. Two weeks ago it was 7 cases. Population about 100,000. A while ago it was 50. Sure, I live in a very rural area where there is not much transmission, but it will keep doubling.
For what it is worth, UK had 8125 cases today. It was less than 1900 four weeks ago. It has gone up more than 4 times. Ignore my figures if you so desire. I don't give a fuck. It is not the actual figures that are scary. It is the RATE of increase
- +1 y
@Jessica405 the actual figures DO matter. I could say to you OMG Cases have doubled!!! When it goes from 1 to 2 in a population of a billion and it’s insignificant.
Even at your “doubled” numbers, it’s.02% of the population. That means 99.98% do not have Covid-19. This really isn’t a nightmare scenario. - +1 y
You are wrong!! Those figures are the INCREASE! Not the number of extant cases. Total cases to date are 4,550,944. That of course includes those who have recovered. Out of a pop of some 60,000,000 it is a fair percentage
- +1 y
@Jessica405 I’m not wrong, and you suck at math and risk assessment. The number of cases vs. the total population is more important than cumulative cases. Furthermore, really only hospitalizations and deaths count. Who gives a shit if someone is asymptomatic with covid-19. The pandemic is over in the US. Sorry your country isn’t as fortunate.
