Yeah literally 100’s of times.

being away a lot of my life with work for various reasons,

some stints were 8 months away from family (wife, daughter).

then post divorce still away from 6-8 months minimum every year,

I am also 50/50 about if social media including video makes it better or worse in regards to being homesick.

Having to make the obligatory phone call or video call home, when you have not actually done much since the day before can be an utter pain for both.

Often recently. I miss England (less so after the behavior of the soccer mob). It'll likely be a few years before I get to visit again

Yeah, I would go and visit my friend who had moved on the other side of the country and even though we were crazy close I felt home sick. It was tough because I was like 12, flying alone and even though her family was basically my family, I still felt super alone. I literally thousands of miles away from home and I could feel it for sure. It's normal to be homesick, calling your family will never be the same as seeing them face to face.

I'm from Mississippi going to college in west Virginia.
My family homelife was special so when not home I'm missing my parents like crazy
