Why would you take them if you are not sexually active? Unless you have other problems such as hormonal problems or period problems... but I don't think you should just take them for no reason for the sake of taking them...
SO, inform yourself better and see what the actual point is.
I do have period problem
For sure.
I took BP when I wasn't sexually active to control my period timing, flow, and cramps.
Just be open about your use with your doctor, and if you get a doctor who rags on you for using birth control, find a different (better) doctor.

Birth control pills are drugs to control hormones. They are dispensed by prescription by medical personnel qualified to match a person to the hormonal therapy needed. The most common reason is for birth control. But they are also used to regulate periods that are irregular; to replace hormones that are missing in the female's body for reasons from cancer to being born without certain organs; to treat diseases like PCOS; and the list goes on. Like any drug, sometimes a bad effect can happen to certain people, but for all the rest, it has nothing but good effects.
Well very sexually active they could still get u pregnant at anytime they still work there still a time when they can still get u pregnant i have never gotten pregnant because i have the inplant it lasts for 3 years tiny change u can get pregers but more of a chance getting pregnant if ure really sexually active like me i consider getting a implant in ure arm the tube like mine i got mine September 2019 it runs out on September 2022 sometimes the implant can muddle with your period though but thats kl u should get that instead i suggest its more stronger and there's a less chancd of getting pregnant if ure really sexually active dwl 👍
You can but I’m my opinion you should not because birth control pill is just lots of hormones that will stop your period and hide every single problem you may have in your reproductive system, it can bring you many other problems and it does not treat any trouble. If you have POCS or uncontrolled hormones, you may treat this better having a good diet and supplemental vitamins (I have gotten these informations by a Brazilian gynaecologist that treat women without pills)
Thank you
Yes some use it to get a better and less painful menstruation cycle. So no sex isn't needed for taking birth control. But unless you plan to be active or have issues with menstruation, it's better to leave nature alone and have a normal cycle. They do after all change your behavior.
Yes. Birth control pills are used for reasons other than birth control.
For instance, women who have endometriosis take birth control pills to help them.

How Birth Control Medication Can Treat Symptoms of Endometriosis
Yeah of course you can. I did the mini pill (progesterone only- no break required) for years because it eliminated my monthly period and it helped me to be so much more productive. You have to find the right one for you (mine had no side effects) and check with your doctor.
Yes but don’t just take any. Get a tailored prescription from your doctor because certain ones have contraindications for certain patients depending on individual medical histories. And they also need to be monitored. This isn’t done as standard procedure for no reason.
i had it prescribed when i was 13 for my irregular periods, and didn't have sex until i was 16, so you don't... but unless a doctor suggests it, i kind of don't see why you would
Yes ofcourse but only if it’s going to help you in some way such as menstrual cramps and perhaps hormones in some way but I’d consult with a doctor first
Acne too
Yea you can , I’ve considered taking them for my missed periods because lately they were all over the place and birth control can really help with that
Feel like that's a unnecessary risk, since birth pills do a lot to your body. But i've never had a woman's period so... i am in no place to if it's worth it or not.
Yes, women do it all the time. It helps balance hormones and can get rid of acne, and make your periods lighter. But it also might decrease sex drive depending on which you use.
Absolutely. You could become active on a whim, or may desire sex out of the blue. But also pills have hormones and that can help lighten your cycles as well.
Depends why?
Some people take them as a treatment to regulate their hormones.
But they have side effects and shouldn't be taken for an extended period of time, reason why you should be monitored by a gynecologist.
you can if you want. nobody sis stopping you. ʅ (´-ω-`) ʃ
My wife took it because she would go months without a period.. When she started taking BC she has a period every month like clock work. She was doing this before we met 8 years ago.
Yes, you can take them they have some that clear a girls skin up from acne and they can control your menstrual cycle
Birth control pills have string side effects they can make your peroids irrerugular and there is a possibility of your fertility decreasing
Yeah lots of people get prescribed the pill to help with PCOS, irregular periods, or even hormonal acne. You should definitely consult your doctor or ob/gyn first tho to see if it’s right for you
Yes lots of women use it to regulate their period and stuff
Yes. My wife and daughter, both, take it for their migraines.
Yes, but why? If you have some hormonal issue and if a doctor recommended it, then okay. Other than that I don't know why you want them?
You can. It can help with your periods : make them not so heavy.
Yeah, absolutely. Most of the women I know take it to avoid the discomfort of their period.
Yes of course. People with acne take birth control also people with pcos do too to keep their hormones balanced
Yes you can take birth control without being sexually active. I know several women who take it to regulate their period.
Yeah I know it sometimes prescribed for women who have painful periods. You only take the white ones every day and you don't have a period.
Ask your GP first, because there's many different kinds, but I know women who have, against their period issues.
Hormonal therapy is not just for birth control.
Some women have medical conditions which are treated with common birth control pills.
The GaG girls are better equipped to answer this one but I believe that BCP's help regulate and moderate periods, regardless of whether you're sexually active.
One should not. Why fill your system with chemicals when you don't need.
Sill questions!
Absolutely. Birth control pills are often prescribed for other reasons.
Yes it's used for a variety of reasons, not just birth control
Yes. It’s quite common for gynecologists to prescribe them to regulate menstrual cycles
