Why every time I smoke weed and inhale, I hear like rattling in my chest or phlegm comes out?

Well that is because the lungs were meant to breathe in air, anything thats not air that goes into your lungs is harmful in some way, weither it's minimal damage, or critical, but usually some damaging can't be undone at a certain point, obviously we aren't suppose to have excess mucus in our lungs, that I believe is just a sign of some sort of damage to the lungs, as a weed smoker myself, I know it's due to damage, perhaps try creating edibles as it's a better way to consume Marijuana which I believe is less harmful than smoking it, at the least for your lungs

Since you’re a weed smoker yourself how can I ensure I’m really inhaling instead of swallowing smoke?

Well usually when you inhale it, you cough, coughing is a way of the body releasing all the harmful chemicals or product out of your lungs cause it doesn't belong there and I'm uneducated in science but if I'm not mistaken, phlegm is another form of defense the body has to remove anything harmful out of your lungs I don't think I've ever swallowed weed smoke before but I have swallowed nicotine before and if it's the same outcome then you'll feel a very heavy rasp in your throat, I think it's hard to tell as some weed normally gives a rasp on the throat, maybe you'll feel like a stomach ache or something, but I don't know cause smoke rises, if you swallow it I think it will just float right back up your throat and out your mouth

I’m not high right now. I’m a beginner smoker and I’m struggling to inhale correctly. Sometimes I get high and other times I don’t. Do you just take a deep breath into your mouth with the smoke?

Yea, I've been smoking for 2 years now and when I first started I also wasn't comfortable smoking it too much, you might just be having a anxiety attack because you are thinking that the weed is gonna kill you, in the smoker community they call this Virgin lungs, you'll be fine, if you are having an anxiety attack then just close your eyes, empty your mind and take deep inhales and exhales, it should become easier to breathe, and if you got phlegm just spit it out, from what I've heard, no one has died from smoking weed, and if you take people like snoop dog and wiz Khalifa for example, these dudes smoke like double digits amount of blunts a day and these dudes are growing older as we speak, now of course I don't recommend smoking to anyone as weed can become a habit if you let it

Marijuana is a bronchodilator.


It causes the bronchial tubes to widen, which makes it very easy to expel and phlegm or mucus trapped within.


The last time I smoked weed it was because I couldn’t breathe due to chronic bronchitis.


$160 doctor visit for an $80 steroid inhaler? Hell no.
