The first couple of months, I had no motivation but pushing myself even if it killed me.
But now after about a year, the results are what motivate me, I'm looking sexier and sexier and at this point there's no stopping it, the confidence and ego boosts and how it's all helping me push harder and farther in life are too much for me to stop.
I recommend that you adopt other highly valued activities where exercise consistency is important for their success. Actions that will assist and/or justify your efforts. And if you don't highly value exercise in the first place, I'd recommend doing a lot of research for the benefits of it. It will be less of a burden if you can find a way to love the journey.
I do it because I can't stop anymore once you start and countinue at leats 5 times a week its a part of your life i guess. Also its good for realiving stress. But my main reason is to look atractive to the opposite sex.
Listen to stories of people with diabetes losing their sight, or feeling in their legs and unable to walk/drive. Or people dying in their 50s from heart disease. Avoiding bad fates like that are some of the things that motivate me when I don't feel like exercising for a while.
I think its just seeing the positive changes in my body over time, and understanding that consistency is key. I know that if I stop, my body won't look the same. Motivation isn't always enough, its more about self discipline. Setting yourself goal, and sticking to it. Exercising puts me in a better mood too. It's helped with my depression a lot
Spot a mentor or that personality who does not fail to inspire you, so with that mentality, You will be challenged to fight hard n flex out hard to look like him or her by all odds. And with a vision like that it can pave a way for one guy called "dedication" into your life.
I don’t have any, that’s why I’m asking. I signed up for a free trial at the gym that’s down the street from me but I can’t get up enough interest in it to go.
I already eat well and am a decent weight. I just want my stomach to be a bit flatter and to have a smaller waistline. It’s really just for vanity more than anything.
By thinking of the overall long-term advantages to it. When I lived out two hours away, I used to walk A LOT. When I moved back to the Harrisburg area, it went ka-put do to my work schedules.
Music. Not sad depressing music but confident music. Write down all the reasons why you wanna exercise, think about those reason every day so then you will be more likely to wanna do it.
Self control and motivation. To stay healthy, live longer, not worry about my body, and not have so many health problems when older are my motivators. It feels good to be healthy and when working out 😊
so even if you don't feel like it you still do it because it your daily requirement just like how you go to work. I listen to this audible about daily habit. You can't alway be motivated.
Motivation is a momentary thing. You may be interested one day but the next day the same thing that motivated you the previous day won't have the same effect. Discipline is what people need to stay consistent in exercising, especially if you really want to see results!
Gym Fee, adrenaline, friends and i just good both physically and mentally which is better than laying all day and feeling like shit getting depressed over small things.

That’s as good a reason as any!
Thanks. Hope you get what you get motivated

I think of how much better I feel after a workout. Also if I do not lose some weight I might have to go on blood pressure meds.
I can see how the threat of medication would definitely be a great motivator!
yes, I am just a little bit on the high side. I am doing extra cardio and not dumping salt on everything. I also stopped watching the news.

Bad past experiences that would've been prevented if I was fit and good at fighting.
That’s a good way to think about it. Being in good shape comes in handy for self-defense.
Yeah and more importantly, when you're in good shape, your less likely to be attacked by thugs. They wanna target the weak.
Right, it can prevent a lot of stuff too.
what's your motivation?
I don’t have any, that’s why I’m asking. I signed up for a free trial at the gym that’s down the street from me but I can’t get up enough interest in it to go.
Then why go? Why do you need to work out? I mean getting stronger and fitter is not any prerequisite for being healthier, eating healthy is.
I already eat well and am a decent weight. I just want my stomach to be a bit flatter and to have a smaller waistline. It’s really just for vanity more than anything.
Buy some nice bluetooth headphones and play some badass music and go for a walk / run. That's what I do. :D
Music would definitely help!
For me, it's so I can fight better. Being involved in a combat sport really helps your motivation
I’m sure it would!
Music. I literally pretend I’m on a runway or something whenever I’m on the treadmill 😂.
That sounds fun!

So my face gets fatter and it’s naturally round and chubby so to keep that in check I have to work out lol
It’s definitely a motivator when your face is what needs the exercise. That’s not something that can be covered up like a belly!
Yesss my worst fear is having a double chin so I stay in the gym

I use to force myself up at the same time until it became a habit. its all about habits!

True, making things a habit is very important!
I don't exercise. My job is physically challenging enough.
That’s the best way, when you can make money and exercise at the same time. 😊
It doesn't even feel like I'm working out until I'm 3/4 of the way through my day. That's when I start losing momentum.

Writing to-do lists and holding myself accountable helps me feel more motivated and checking things off is so satisfying.

Joining a class of some sort. Encouraging others and receiving it in return. It’s priceless.
