No.
Even Dr. Fauci over time has flip-flopped over the effectiveness of wearing masks.
And like you said, we have vaccines to protect people, at least from getting seriously ill from Covid.
If people think the answer is yes—that people should still be required to wear masks—then how long should we continue wearing masks…until Covid is completely eradicated (ie: forever)?

Even doctors (real ones, not like Lord Fauci) said they don't do a damn thing and some people have even gotten sick FROM wearing the mask because they're re-using them and breathing in some of their own contaminants they left on it the last time they wore it!

In hindsight, they've been almost completely ineffective, for various reasons ranging from not having filters strong enough to block COVID to people not wearing them correctly, to defective production, and just general lack of understanding of the virus as well as poor, possibly malicious communication. Even when properly worn, they're negligible, and far beneath basic sanitation measures as far as disease prevention is concerned. There's no (medical) reason whatsoever to still be pushing for mandatory masking in any setting, with the one possible exception being cramped indoor office spaces with poor air filtration and circulation. When worn for extended periods, they end up causing other problems anyway. For all those reasons, wearing a mask should be entirely a personal choice.
In regards to vaccines and such, the vaccines DO NOT have any impact on preventing spread, or even preventing the virus from infecting you- instead, they reduce your risk of symptoms severe enough to require hospitalization or death, with diminishing effectiveness over the span of 4-8 months due to the rapid evolution of the virus to the point that people who got the first doses early this year are basically back to square one, while natural immunity is still holding up. A fully vaccinated or asymptomatic carrier can still pass on the disease just as easily as anyone else. This, along with political motivations, is why the term "immunizations" is being retired and the definitions of "vaccine" and "anti-vax" have been changed. People who tell you otherwise are lying or misleading you. While the rapid evolution of the virus poses its own problems, this is a good thing in the long run, because like every other respiratory virus in history, newer strains are weaker but more contagious, and as a result more people will develop natural immunity over time, and COVID will run its course much faster than influenza, which has been a continuous problem for over 100 years now. Like the flu however, it's still going to be a persistent problem annually for many, many years, even if the annual deaths drop down to the relatively meagre tens of thousands. Unless there's some master control switch in a bunker somewhere (in which case I have a lot of much darker questions), we will never, ever achieve "zero Covid," and everybody knows it.I'm an engineer and I can tell you that these masks that people are wearing are not designed to prevent viral transmission. The procedural, surgical, N95s, and makeshift masks are useless. I've seen people claim, "Well they wear surgical masks during surgery, therefore surgical masks prevent virus transmission." People who make such claims are idiots. Firstly, surgical masks along w/ procedural masks are intended to prevent big things from getting into patients and vice versa. Big things are like snot, boogers, spit, nose hairs, etc. Also, surgery rooms are super sterilized. Not only are the tools sterilized, but the walls, ceilings, lights, are all sterilized. You can't take one thing from such an environment and expect it to have the same efficiency in a completely different environment.
Also, all the masks listed above, they allow smoke to be transmitted through them. The particle size of tobacco smoke ranges from 0.01-5 microns. The COVID virus by itself is 0.02 microns, now the COVID particle usually attaches itself to a water particle which the mean diameter of the COVID particle (s) and water particle is now 0.1 micron. So ask yourself this, if a tobacco particle has a wider diameter range wider than the COVID diameter range and tobacco particles can easily slip through the mask material, are they really preventing viral transmission?I never thought masks were nessesary. Especially not to enforce it on people. Seems like it's become a law everywhere you go. I barely wore my mask anywhere I went and now I don't have to wear it at all. I was sick of people telling me to put it on.
I'm safe about where I cough or sneeze. I'm definitely not going to do it on a person unless they won't stop bothering me. If the other person has their mask on, they should be safe and not care why I don't have mine on.
LET'S GO BRANDON3 years in we have enough field data to conclude that masks never once worked. The vaccine comes and goes in waves and nothing slows it down.
And now that there is a vaccine everything is even more pointless than it was the first time.
You fear for your life? Get the vaccine.
You wanna take a chance? Don't get it.
But the mere existence of a vaccine means Covid 19 is no longer a mortal threat, we've always had diseases but with antibiotic technology we always lived with them. Well covid too now is curable so I no longer understand when someone talks to me about the dangers of covid, we're just too accustomed to be cowards now and that needs to changeMasks have repeatedly been proven to have extremely little to no effect in preventing the transmission of a virus. Wearing them is also physically and mentally damaging. And assuming that every single human "might" be an "asymptomatic carrier" is absurd.
The purpose of masks is to get people used to slavery. They dehumanize people. The warehouse I work in handles Apple's computers, iphones and their other GARBAGE. They contacted our building a few months ago and INSISTED we put them back on. But my warehouse doesn't have the balls to tell Apple "No". So the Supervisors are forcing everybody to wear them, and sending anybody home who refuses. Apple Co. needs to get it in it's head that if your State no longer carries the mandate, NO company or business can force another to wear the wastes of fabric. The Center for Disease Control made a statement when my State's mandate expired (PA). They flat out said they don't do anything, but in the beginning hoped they would.
Nah. There's a pretty golden rule in the US, at least, that you are responsible for your own safety. There was never a point in time when respirator masks or P100 cartridges were sold out. These types of masks, when used with these types of cartridges, filter literally every particulate out of the air you breathe in. And the cartridges never fail, it just gets more and more difficult to breathe through as you clog up the filters.
Combine this with the fact that the government gave every single person $1200, and there is no reason that anyone couldn't purchase said mask and filter. I purchased one, myself. And since it filters everything, I don't care if anyone else wore a mask or not.
If you didn't, that's on you. But I have no legal duty to protect you, a stranger. Just like you have no duty to protect a stranger. All you are forbidden from doing is harming them (unless they are attempting to harm you).no. the last time I wore a mask was almost a year ago at my local nature center because my, grandma, then 9 year old brother, then 5 year old sister, and then 13 year old me had to wear one inside, Long story short, I was not happy the rest of the day, I didn't even enjoy our trip there. I just sat a watched the squirrels the whole time until we went outside.
Now that we have vaccinations and MOST people are getting them, why should we suffer because of the stupid masks? I think that if you want to wear a mask, go for it. If you don't, don't.well since nobody ever made the effort to actually do proper research correlating the societal spread of this particular disease and the societal wearing of masks, my answer is a very firm: i don't fucking know.
and to be honest, i think we should have made those studies BEFORE we forced everyone to wear them as we already know that wearing masks outside of clinical hygiene environments is bad for health and not good.I keep two in my vehicle. so if a store requires it for entry I don't look like an ass. but generally i don't wear them because i'm vaccinated. I still think they should be encouraged. even without covid. wearing a mask when you have a cold? thats just smart honestly. it would probably held cut down the spread of all sorts of other illnesses and make flu seasons much less intense if people were encouraged to mask up if they had a cough.
I think i'm always gonna keep a few in my vehicle regardless of what the government decides to do because I think wearing a mask is a nice gesture if you have a cough and have to be in public.Even people who are fully vaccinated can carry the disease and pass it to someone else, especially those who are vulnerable. So not wearing the mask can make you dangerous to others. Plus, there is evidence that the vaccines may not last permanently so then you can get it after the vaccine fades. Plus, the newer variants may not be stopped by the current vaccines. If everybody in the world had taken all the ptrotections, we might have stomped covid out of existence. But obviously that will never happen.
I don´t know if people should be forced to wear one. On the hand it has some damages like it can reduce one´s concentration due to the fact that masks make breathing harder on the other hand people are egoistic.
If there wasn´t a set of rules many people wouldn´t survive because they would be killed by others. Because I feel like at the of the day humans only and mostly think about themselves.
So if fighting the pandemic can´t be put only in everybody´s responsibility because I would argue that many people wouldn´t care.No.
Masks are ineffective and breed the bacteria that cause lung infections.
The masks are to teach the slaves to obey.
I did NBC training as part of the Australian Army.
If the scamdemic was as advertised, you would need to wear level four biohazard suit, which is known in the trade as a space suit.Yes. The vaccine might not even work against the new Omicron variant. It's too new to know that yet. Eventually, the virus may mutate into a form totally immune to the existing vaccines, in which case they'll need to research and invent an all-new vaccine for it, the same way they do for the Flue virus every year.
Masks have been shown to reduce the spread of the virus by 50% vs no masks. That's reason enough for mask mandates to not only remain in place, but to be increased and enforced under some sort of penalty, such as a $500 fine or something like that.I’ve been wearing masks long before COVID pandemic, I have a compromised immune system, I think regarding to people wearing masks now to prevent the spread of covid should be an option for those that choose to do so in the general public but not a mandated order unless it’s in medical jobs or medical environments….
People do need to be careful around others say at hospitals or nursing homes, Homeless shelters, because those people most likely have compromised immune systems like myself. So I think anyone whether it’s patients, medical staff or visitors should wear a mask and sanitize. There is no science behind seating masks. They "assume" it slows the spread of COVID-19. They don't KNOW. First it was "wear a mask if you can't social distance".. . Then it's "mask +6ft distance"... Then it's "add plexiglass"... Then it's " if you have a vaccine you still gotta mask up ".. this is BS science.
Nobody tells me what to do. My body my choiceAs an indicator of who is malleable and afraid, willing to capitulate to the unreasonable demands of evil governments that just want us under their complete control? We should never have been compelled to wear them in the first place, and I didn't.
last i checked they contribute to more problems. plus they suck to wear and are hard to breath in anyways. I haven't worn them since like 6 months in. Then I just said enough is enough.
People should still wear a mask if they think it's appropriate to do so. It's not appropriate to mandate that people wear a mask, get vaccinated, etc.
Having said that, and acknowledging that the COVID vaccine is only good for less than a year, is less effective overall, and has questionable efficacy against recent variants, it's appropriate to wear a mask and maintain social distancing when in a closed public situation. If other people don't want to wear a mask, then fine. I'm still wearing mine and I've had all the vaccinations. 😂
