Have you ever had weird side effects to medication?

What medicine was it and what were the side effects?

I get incredibly nauseous on tramadol. I also get anxiety, depression, extreme exhaustion and vivid dreams from a specific antihistamine.

Years ago I had a toothache and I was talking to a friend of mine on the phone and that he asked me if I wanted a pain pill and I really don't take pills so I said no I'm okay I'll go to the dentist here in a couple days can you go it's just a pain pill because I'll bring it over to you so you brings me over this pill I take it and about 20 minutes later I was so freaking hi I hated it I mean I was miserable he gave me one of the strongest morphine pills that you can take and then let me tell you what I was in la la land and I was angry at the same time because I was pissed off at him for giving me that and tell him he was a pain pill got a morphine pill I have a question for you when you get over exhausted what are the side effects with that I mean do you does it make you horny anyway it is me I don't know why but I don't need to take any medicines but nothing happened I was just curious

Over exhausted... I will literally just fall asleep. Unable to stay awake at all. Trying to do something and my eyes are forcing themselves shut

Yeah I hear you I've been doing that lately almost every other night it's like when I finally do get into bed I don't even think my head hits the pillow and I'm out I'm probably snoring away LOL yeah it's not good for us to do that

I've stopped taking it. It was an antihistamine. So I'm just taking a different one now

When you took those did they make you drink really really either crazy hot dreams or just really weird dreams

I've taken those before and I hate taking any pills I took them before bed then I couldn't sleep lol but what I did sleep I had the best best best best dreams LOL that I've had weird dreams 2

They were just really vivid and sometimes nightmarish

Yes that's exactly how many where I mean they were so real and so at the moment and like I said some trees were so very beautiful and hot but there were some that just would shake me to my c o r e and then I would take all day how come I had that dream

Tramadol is an opioid and is basically similar to codeine. Codeine comes from the poppy plant as does other narcotics while tramadol is completely manmade. Most opioids as I understand do cause nausea especially if taken on an empty stomach.

I was prescribed Percocet for pain caused by a back injury and it made me have such weird dreams I quit taking it after the first couple of doses.

I ended up with pseudotumor cerebri after being on Depo Provera birth control injection for 14 years. This is a brain condition where you think you have a brain tumor but do not. It causes bad headaches, vision issues, nausea and dizziness. It causes an increase in brain pressure. I had to have brain surgery to have a shunt implantated in the brain.

I gained about 26 lbs, while I was in antidepressants, because I was having panic attacks during the pandemic. I've managed to lose about 15 lbs, almost half of that weight now

Definitely found out never to take nitroglycerin ever again. Used a dab of cream once and had the worst headache of my life. Felt like I wanted death because it was so excruciatingly painful. Other than that, I'm pretty tolerant.

Same med as you, but causes other types of stomach issues. Same goes for any anti-inflammatory pill. I have to take natural herb for anything to help my inflammation.

Tramadol? Boy I was tripping balls but also laying on the bathroom floor sweating, feeling like I was going to throw up but also like my skin was like wax and melting off 😂 thank God I have anti nausea to counter the reaction

Yep I couldn’t breathe. If it’s not working, then you stop and tell your provider it’s giving you side effects; therefore, you need new ones. It can get serious if you don’t stop

Nausea is a common side effect for tramadol. I just take an anti nausea to combat it.
