Is it normal to have 160/80 blood pressure?

My blood pressure was 160/80, is it normal? I measured at intervals but it came out like this again. Once it was 145/90, the doctor said reduce the salt that day.. 🙄

80 is normal, but your systolic pressure is a bit high, it should be about 120.
everyone is different here, but a lot of people's blood pressure seem to be affected by their diet... double check to see how much sodium is in yours. Ideally we're supposed to have less than 2K mgs/day... it's a tiny amount. Also, make sure you're drinking enough water, especially if it's summer where you are. If, this is a recent change and it's not your regular food diet, has anything else you've been doing changed? Did you recently start drinking more caffeine? Sugar? Juices? (there is a lot of sugar in fruit) or maybe energy drinks? Read all the labels. Lastly, you should monitor your pressure and consult a cardiologist and get an ultrasound, blood tests or anything the doctor says to make sure everything is ok

That is extremely high blood pressure (Stage 2 Hypertension)... You need to make an immediate appointment to see your Doctor/GP.

Is 16 your vorrect age?
Do you take your BP regularly as in everyday or every few days? Having one day of high readings isn't necessarily unusual and there can be a range of factors that can be responsible. Yes salt intake can have an adverse effect on BP but so can many other things.
Do you exercise regularly and eat healthily? Do you smoke?
For someone of your age your BP should be 120/80. Take your BP over the next 4 days, 4 times a day abd note them down to compare.
Always sit up and sut still to take it, make sure you don't take it straight after eating drinking walking or other exercise, allow 20 minutes after any of those activities.
If your readings repeatedly come up high, then i suggest you take them to your doctor and discuss it further.

Not knowing your weight I'd say that's pretty high on both top and bottom. One thing to check is are you using a manual cuff or electric cuff? The manually operated cuffs are usually more accurate than the electrically inflating ones, the electric cuffs tend to read a bit higher.

160/80 is slightly high in the sys. You should see a doctor to get an accurate read and maybe medication to adjust it. Normal is around 120/80 and moderate 140/90. So see a doctor.

The top number is borderline high it should be like 120/80 would be great the last time my blood pressure was 136/80 and pulse rate 119 so pulse not good

It's above normal.. also depends when u take the readings.. immediately after eating or waking it comes high
