    For me, I never "got tired." Either I was or wasn't. That said, you can be tired, yet get a shot of adrenaline to your system, that keeps you up beyond regular sleep habits.

    First, you don't want something that will aid adrenaline production. Working out or similar activity more often causes adrenaline and not making you "tired."

    Second, some foods will cause sleep, while others will give you an adrenaline, (or similar) spike. This changes due to body chemistry, so I won't say categorically what does what, but for me, sugar isn't called a high for nothing. Certain natural fruits are high in sugar, or foods you wouldn't think have sugar, like iced cream.

    Third, goes along with first. Watch what you watch. While you might enjoy action flicks, or political debates, those are viewed items that require full attention and not allow you to drowse. Likewise, watching something you hate gets the blood flowing too, right?
    So watch what is on the razors edge; not too interesting, but not so boring as to ruffle your feathers.

    Fourth, time. Don't think about going to bed within 15 minutes or less. You need to allow your body to start relaxing as much as an hour prior to when you want to be asleep.

    Lastly, supposedly color and subdued light has a lot to do with how calm and relaxed you are. Flash bright lights in your face, and you aren't going to sleep anytime soon.
    Color is kind of contrary. You'd think blues are something that makes you relaxed, because they seem to blur already. But the more things blur, the more your eyes work harder to focus on such blue lights. An easier color is red.

    I usually don’t have a problem falling asleep my problem is not sleeping for long , once I am up I am up , I usually get up and go make coffee and play on my phone like I am doing right now at 3 am and sit on my patio next to my Gas fire pit , and I will probably do this until I have to get ready for work , when I am in a relationship , I would have sex , sex always helped me sleep better, I guess masturbating helps as well , I just don’t masturbate as much anymore but maybe I should start honestly, I just prefer the real thing , another reason sex is important to me in a relationship , sex does so many good things to our bodies , for guys and girls , when I am having regular sex my sleep was so much better and it made my day so much better ahead honestly , their are so many health benefits to having sex , for me it gives me more positive energy and made my day ahead so much better. Why sex is important to me in a relationship, when sex dies down so does the relationship, I start getting moody and resenting my partner and I think why am I even with this person , I tolerated this shit with my ex wife thinking love will save the day , but I was so wrong and wasted my time , I will never walk in those shoes again with a girl that loses desire for sex , I will trade her in, sorry to sound harsh but that’s just the way it goes , I want a girl that loves sex like I love sex bottom line , no more room mate shit

    That stay in sexually deprived relationships are only hurting themselves , a partner that constantly withholds sex from you is slowly killing you is the way I look at it , kick them to the curb and find someone that makes you feel wanted and valued , never be someone’s punching bag for a long time , tell them your feelings and if they don’t change get rid of them , value yourself and realize you deserve happiness not misery

    I count backwards from 300 by threes. 300, 297, 294... It helps occupy your mind just enough to keep your thoughts from wandering, but it’s mundane enough to not make you more awake. I’ve been using this trick for years and I’ve only reached the end a couple of times. It also helps to start with a different number every now and then so you don’t get too used to the sequence

    Thinking about what i did today, doing some exercises, reading a book, writing an article, solving my friends problems, trying to make a simulation for the 4th dimension because i need it in my novel, planning how to make my future better, praying, and after all of that i feel tired and sleep in less than 5 minutes, I don't know why i feel that you want me to say that i beat my meat to sleep but i will try to pretend that i didn't notice.

      I dont know why that is a love emoji, but I couldnt sleep on night because the copier was work kept jamming up, and I waisted like an hour trying to fix it, I was getting frustrated and cursing. I all i could think about in the night was wtf am I going to do. because I needed the copier. I realize I have to go to work in two hours so I'm like fuck it I went to work two hours early.

    I don't, I wait til I get tired, by playing video games or watching movies, the reason you're not tired is because your body still has unused energy or your body clock isn't ready to fall asleep yet, so stop trying and wait longer
