Sorry to hear about your family.
Viruses sustain themselves by continuing to mutate.
It seems that whenever a country "changes its mind" about restrictions, this is when there is a spike in Wuhan virus hits. Somehow, in my opinion these repetitive- and minimally useful at best changes- allow the virus to more easily mutate.
because we lifted mask mandates and other restrictions too soon again... boris is going for herd immunity. the price is a few more dead people ofcourse
The new high numbers are due to the freedom day we had. The numbers were quite low otherwise
I had covid a few weeks before omicron was known but my symptoms were still pretty mild thank God
The general public have given up caring. When it first arose people with the virus self isolated, now they just go and spread it around.

Because that's how viruses work... If 4 out of 5 people get a virus it's unlikely any of them will catch it again for a few months. Hence the high cases followed by low cases
Mother Nature isn't finished yet... variants of the SARS2 virus are still happening that causes COVID have different infection rates, even of people who have had COVID and/or have been vaccinated.
Because there are no restrictions in the UK and British people are living as if there's no Covid.
Carefree and British.:((xx
Exactly Paris but that has consequences too.
Everyone at this point either has had it, been vaccinated or both. So what’s the point of further damaging the economy? Covid isn’t going anywhere, it’s endemic. The shortages, inflation and coming unrest are also here to stay and should be far more terrifying to people.
Hope your fiancé and his family have a quick recovery.
The US still has pretty high numbers too. J hope he and his family feel better soon.
You’re welcome 😊
Oh that's easy Paris. I live here and I can tell you that most people here say "What Virus?" They don't care about catching it and passing it on and to be honest? I can't say I feel sorry for anyone who has caught it by their own stupidity. Of course, if they take precautions to be safe and still catch it, I sympathise there!
It probably has to do with that germs thrive in cooler weather and being on an island the moisture is enclosed and always wet
70% of 12yo and older have all 3 covid shots.
Which contributes to immune suppression.

Paris Paris Paris
You know the answer to this,
I think that it's because people aren't willing to follow guidelines and use commonsense we have the same problems here in the US trust me.
I'm on vacation ATM and avoiding the news so I don't really know
They didn’t get the memo. Corona was so last year. We’re on to WW3 right now.
Because it’s a virus.
Many Are, @KatherineJ xx
Depends on travel I guess
Well it's going to continue on as things open up. Everyone is going to have to get it multiple times
People here are irresponsible
Same reason the US is. Covidiots.
they do not follow the same rules as some other areas do and there are a lot of people that live there too.
too man idiots doing what idiots do.
''many''.
carful,... starting to sound like a liftist!
If we are it's because of the government's half-assed approach to managing the virus.
that's only half the problem.
No restrictions, almost no masks in use and good old overpopulation
Movement of people.
Do they mask up?
Because they don’t have a Denny’s
A bunch of people packed into a small space?
