I'd love to do the Boston marathon one year, as Boston is my second home, haven't been back in a while thanks to COVID, hopefully later in the year. Good luck!

How many marathons have you participated in as a runner?
Any idea how many miles you ran over your running career?
I participated in 8 of them and I finished 6.
I trained seriously about 8 months out of the year and ran about 50 miles a week. The winter always made it hard to get the miles in so I usually did other cardio like swimming laps or riding a stationary bike. It was good to give the legs a rest that way too. I would say I probably ran between 25 and 30 thousand miles.
That's a lot of hours and a lot of miles!
What did you like the most when you were running?
👍👍👍 the most awesome run. I hope to do it again but took a break during covid.
Almost Perfect weather for them today. How many Bostons have you run?
have you ever checked how much weight do you lose, after finishing a full marathon? if any, lol
so... the faster you are, and the more you run... the more weight you´ll lose, right?
Well, it is not that simple. Diet is a big part of it. The weight you lose during a race is mostly water weight. While I train I usually eat a diet of protein and unsaturated fats. Whole grain bread and I used to eat these big salty pretzels. I think I craved the salt and the carbs.
I was really too heavy to be a marathon runner by about 30 pounds but I used to train hard and I think I have a physical advantage that made me good at endurance events..
When do you start your kick what point in the race do you go for victory. And have you ever won a 24 mile marathon
I never really have a kick at the end. Many times in shorter races I usually had a surge during the last quarter mile and sometimes had a very dramatic finish with other runners, each of us pushing the other to go faster. In a marathon there is a tendency to go out too fast and run out of gas at the end. That is what you have to look out for. In the end it is just survival at that point. I ran one where the end was in a stadium and you ran a lap around the field and went through the chute. There was another runner who just could not go any further. I got him to finish and I still have the picture of the two of us going through the chute together,
