Does going to the toilet a lot the next day after drinking alcohol affect the contraceptive pill?

I went to the toilet several times to poo about 3 or 4. Does this affect my pill? After taking the pill, I went again but im concerning is it after reducing the effectiveness of the pill? It was soft and mushy.

The pill leaflet says the pill would be affected if it was severe diarrhea which I dont think I had?

Ok thank you. Can i ask a stupid question? What is severe diarrhea? Google says watery liquid which i know and going more than 6 times in 24 hours?

Not a stupid question. I agree with you and would definitely classify what you had was diarrhea. As for the potential cause it could be any number of things. Could have been something that you ate, especially if you ate out. It could have been a 24 hour stomach virus. When you have episodes like this it's best to let the upset stomach run its course. Sometimes taking anti-diarrheal medications can cause diarrhea to linger around. Best wishes and I hope you ate feeling better.
