Personally I am, I have no use for my organs when I'm dead. Rather they be put to good use.

I was an organ donor for a lot of years.
Until I found out did my family would be responsible for the bill I'm putting my organ into somebody else
So to save somebody's life would cost my family hundreds and hundreds of thousands of dollars I think the law needs to change on that
So of course if I could donate my organs to save somebody's life I would but I'm not going to if it's going to take every penny that my family might have to save somebody's life

That's not true. The insurance of/ family/person receiving the organs pays for that. Your family pays for your care and funeral.

See that's what I always thought too but someplace there is some very fine print there was a just a big thing on it 60 minutes had a special show about it because there was people their spouse or their family member would die and they would be organ donors and next thing you know they would have this horrendous bill come in through the mail that they could not afford to this hundreds of thousands of dollars so 60 Minutes to the special on it and it kind of blew me away after that I took my name off the organ donor list but maybe after that special maybe gloves got changed I don't know I'll look into it again because the way that you said it is the way that I always thought it was but then I found out it wasn't that way

I'd want to, and I used to be, but I got stricken off when I got jaundice because of my drinking habits.
I also suffer from COPD due to smoking, so I got completely disqualified. It's a shame because I'd assume there are other organs they could use, but they disqualified me nonetheless.

But if you save random rapists, pedos or bad people etc? This is why I think it should be allowed to choose who should get your organs. In my country you are automatically an organ donor if you dont opt out

I expected something like this. Sure - YOU don't always get the bill.
What I have in mind: the makers of hospital equipment make a lot of money - often overpriced. Medication and pharma industry will insist on fat profits, too.
Even if the costs are covered by an 'insurance' or by a 'government' - money will be handed over. Much of it.
And my organs or my blood are morally expected to be a ''for-free''- obligation?
