I bought a regular toothbrush if I run out of battery while using the electric brush & don't have time to charge it.
The last two days when I've been using the regular brush, my gums have bled both days.
Should I be concerned?
Healthy gums shouldn't bleed when brushing your teeth, although it could be that electric toothbrushes can be more gentle and the manual toothbrush is harsher than you're used to and your gums are reacting. I would suggest having a visit to the dentist to make sure everything is ok. Have you noticed any other health issues lately?
Might be pushing too hard?
Back off on the pressure a bit.
Your manual brush may have stiffer bristles?
Mention to your dentist next visit, or give him a call.
How often do you change your brush on your electric one.
I know I should change it out more often.
Yes, you should be concerned. Your gums are not supposed to bleed. If you don't floss your teeth daily and properly your teeth will bleed. Do you see the dentist every 6 months?

It's possible maybe you're doing a "better job" of brushing with the manual brushing. Or, maybe you're brushing too hard? My guess is most likely you're doing a better job at brushing with the manual one, which means you have gingivitis
Maybe you're not used to using your own hands to brush and you probably do it super fast instead of slow, thorough scrubs along your gums and teeth
Maybe you use too much pressure or one with too hard hairs. Both may cause injuries.
U are applying too much pressure or using bristles that are too hard on the gums
The bristles are too still and you're brushing too hard. You SHOULD ONLY use a med. or soft brush!
Too much filth in your gums that needs to be cleaned. It will take a few visits at the dentist to get that done.
I wouldn't be concerned at all. I bleed like The Shining whenever I see a dental hygienist.
Maybe too stiff
