Nope, I just read about it since I've never heard of it before. It seems like it would be tough to get, like you need prolonged, intimate contact with someone who has it. Besides that cases in the US are insignificant.
It would be something to be concerned about if you were travelling to the Congo I guess. If you want to talk about diseases to be concerned about, going by the low infectivity and mortality of that one, the intimacy involved for catching it is higher than TB, and that's still going around. Seems like it would be a good prelude to another lockdown or some nonsense though, the monkey pox emergency relief spending bill and forced immunization.
What comes after that, aerosolized HPV or herpes? This one just looks gross, nothing else to it really.

Just don't fuck a monkey!!
I don't want to get any viruses from a darn monkey!
I just watched a movie the other day, I believe it was called "Quarantine" with Dustin Hoffman, Cuba Gooding, Morgan Freeman and some others.
It was about a Monkee carrying a deadly virus, people were dying from it.
So, after just seeing what a virus from a monkey can do, I don't want any part of it.
Nope. It's hard to get and the world is coming to an end financially 😪 I have more things to worry about!

I'm not afraid of any disease, disaster or man. I trust in God fully. When everyone was panicking over COVID, I caught it twice and survived. When Swine Flu was a big scare, I caught it and survived. When a tornado destroyed my grandfather's house as a child, the hallway I was in stayed intact and the fridge remained when the rest of the kitchen was destroyed. God has his hand over me and nothing will take me out until my appointed time. When my appointed time comes, there is nothing I can do so why stress it?
No, it seems to be an artificial epidemic while Governments are considering the WHO 'Pandemic Treaty'.
Project Fear all over again?
Given the way that WHO sat on Covid data to let the Chinese Communist Party ‘save face’ and that they held off on passing that data (that they received from the Taiwan Government who gave it to them in good faith) for more than two months,
Two months that other countries could have used to prepare to combat covid19, then why for gods sake should we sign a 'pandemic treaty' that gives them full control of nation states?
In the UK there is a petition running to stop the signing of this 'pandemic treaty' without at least a discussion and vote in the House of Commons or preferably a referendum on it and it has reached a number which means the subject has to be debated in the House of Commons.I thought it was birdflu now?
All we hear here in Colorado is birdflu bird flu. After the new improved covid failed to scare people I honestly thought they were just gonna bring back the ufos but I guess they wanted to try sometime differently. Oh well...Bill Gates told you he was going to do this...

not really, no...
there has been outbreaks already in the US... early 2000's, also in the UK, not so long ago...
my only concern would be, if media and governments wanted to make out of this some "global breakout" and another pandemia-like pandemonium... Those damn monkeys don't care what you get, but you may have a better chance of not getting it if you stop spanking your monkey.
Not really, from what I understand, if you're vaccinated against the smallpox, you should be fine and I am so I'm not too worried.
What makes me worry will this turn out to be an outbreak and that would be another thing to worry about also their talking about using the smallpox vaccine to treat people to prevent it, I think this world is ending soon.
Yeah well people are over covid so naturally it's time to introduce something else 🙄
Not really no.
of the cases get to 50 in the UK and hit a university town, then maybe.
at present it’s just a reportable disease the UK must report officially to WHO.No. I'm old enough to have been vaccinated against smallpox, which greatly reduces the risk of acquiring monkeypox.
Since I don't know what it is, nope... not afraid of it.
Well COVID didn't work as well as expected, so we can expect a slew of new outbreaks over the next few years lol
Lol I literally just posted a similar question. I was nervous about Covid before most people knew what it was. Similarly this makes me nervous, but I don’t let fear rule my life.
From what I've read, the handful of cases in north america aren't all that serious, and it's spread by close contact so it's not likely to get particularly out of hand.
i am not affraid of monkey pox as i wasn't affraid of covid. just the next fear mongering bullshit to force people to accept tyrannical governance decisions.
I believe it is not currently airborne, so unless it mutates we should be OK.
If you've had any of those COVID shots then you should be afraid of Monkey Pox (the more shots the greater the risk). If you haven't had any COVID shots then the risk is greatly diminished.
No not really long doesn’t mutate into anything else like Covid or worse we should be fine
I don't know enough about it to have a proper opinion.
I guess from what I've heard and how it spreads from skin to skin contact, I am lowkey scared of that virus oh and it looks EXTREMELY gross on the people in those images shown not gonna lie.
